I can't wait for my consult with p/s in november loving the idea of getting TT done and being able to get some core strength back. .

Sydneymum
Oh wow. Actually I can imagine mine being the same. Have never been referred for an u/s. Guess I will find out how bad it all really is after my surgery. Like you, I have no core strength either, & my back suffers big time. Hope the surgery helps with it!! Labgirl
Hi girls, I have a similar story - the ultrasound showed the separation and also an umbilical hernia. Problem is my youngest is nearly 6 so couldn't understand why it happened suddenly now! After going through other procedures to rule out something more sinister (colonoscopy, gastroscopy, abdominal CT scan, etc - I have a very thorough GP!) I asked to be referred to a PS cause the GP said it was "just fat" and I wanted another opinion. The PS took one look at me and said my muscles have separated and I need a TT to fix it. Unfortunately to get this done in Perth it is over $13k so researched o/s surgery options. Now I leave in 15 days!!! Oh and the reason why it suddenly popped out now.... I started at the gym Xx
Sydneymum
Oh wow Labgirl, I started going to the gym too earlier this year (have stopped now as I got a bit busy) and I was always paranoid about making my tummy worse. I have a hernia like yours too. Never had a ultrasound, but the plastic surgeon could see it when I went for my consult. These GP's seem so un educated on us girls tummy issues don't they? I had complained a couple of times to my GP about my tummy not being "right" and all I ever got told was "do some physio"......... Yeah right.
