Revision rhinoplasty - need to rectify severe asymmetry with damage to soft triangle

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

Long time lurker, first time poster!

I had a revision septorhinoplasty a few years ago to correct damage from a poorly performed public hospital septoplasty. I still have a severely asymmetrical nose, though less symmetrical than before. The slight straightening of my nose has revealed a huge 'notch' on one aspect of the soft triangle, which creates the visual effect of my tip hanging down to one side. The rest of my nose, thankfully, is fine - I am happy with the side profile, it just looks monstrous from the front!

I'm doing a bit of research because, well, after eight years with my partner and putting off marriage because I cannot stand the sight of my nose (and would rather not get married at all than have wedding photos with this bulbous mess), I am going to finally book in to fix it properly so I can start wedding planning!

The question is, I have no idea who to go with - I'm putting together a shortlist and have Mark Baldwin, Greensmith, and Kleid in mind.

Where I'm struggling is that a lot of the before-and-after photos tend not to show people who have soft triangle issues, and it's really hard to work out who specialises in what. I'm willing to travel literally anywhere in Melbourne for someone who can confidently approach a soft triangle problem!

Any guidance would be much appreciated. Thanks all!

Hello

just saw your post and was wondering if you went ahead with the revision and who you went with? My story sounds very similar.

i am looking at Perry Burstin. Did you see him at all?
