Sports bra recommendations

Recommended Posts

Hi ladies - I’m going to get fitted on Thursday as I’ll be 6 weeks PO then (yay) - I’m pretty certain I’ll be a 10DD. I’m wanting to train for a half marathon next year and need recommendations for a REALLY supportive sports bra please!

also any recommendations for every day T-shirt bras - preferably wire free? I’m going to check out bras n things soon - but cheaper options are also appreciated!

thanks!!

If you are Melbourne based I highly recommend She Science https://shescience.com.au/

I like Berlie high impact sports bra for running it really holds the girls in place and for a bit of extra support i sometimes put a soft cup crop over the top if im doing HITT as for T shirt bras i can't go past the body bliss contour bras (Bras n Things ) they are so comfrey and come in a variety of colours ans they even have lacy options, i have one in every colour ?

Thanks ladies! I’m looking forward to getting out of this compression bra and into something a bit nicer! Does anyone still wear compression bra to bed? I’m wondering if it’s beneficial long term to keep wearing it - I’ll have to ask my surgeon next week.

I’ll definitely check out those bras recommended!

You should have luck at Bras n Things with wirefree bras. Unfortunately I think I will end up a 10F or 10G as I was a 10E with my old implants. Bras n Things just don’t stock anything wirefree in F or G cup as I asked. I’m going to a specialist lingerie store. I’m after sports bras as I’ve just joined the gym (but not doing upper body yet). I have an appointment Friday to be fitted.

I'm with @I HaveBoobs on the Berlei sports bras, they are the best at keeping the girls in place with minimal/no movement. I run a lot, so needed a good sports bra or three!!

I wore my compression bra at night for a bit longer than recommended, then swapped to crop tops. I still wear a crop bra/top to bed most nights as I like that little bit of support - I'm almost 2 years post-op :D

Funny I’ve just read the recommendations on sports bras. I went bra shopping and bought 2 x sexy lacy wirefree bras (I can’t believe sexy wirefree exists!). I tried on the Berlei sports bra (unsure which exact one) and it was incredible. I jumped up and down in the fitting room and my boobs didn’t go anywhere. Unfortunately it does have underwire in it and until I see my surgeon in January I’m not allowed to wear wired bras but once I’m cleared I will be buying it. I got 2 x Lorna Jane high neck bras which I wear over a crop. Fairly supportive for the treadmill, etc but looks like I’m not going to be running until mid January.

Also if you are in Perth I highly recommend Hidden Lace in Subiaco. Yes a lot of the stuff is expensive $90 bras but the ones I chose were on sale for $39.95 each. They are very good at fitting. One of the bras I tried was not sitting in between my cleavage but on top of it. My fitter straight out said it wasn’t a good fit. They also sell post surgical bras for those who are pre op. That’s where I got mine.
