Belated introduction :-)

Recommended Posts

Hi there,

Just thought I would "formally" introduce myself as I have been making a few posts and reading others and it's been both helpful and entertaining :)

I'm 38, have a 4 1/2 year old and an 8 month old, had my BA done when my first child was 10 months, I have a TT with muscle repair booked for August 26th, and am going to have a revision BA probably a few weeks after that though yet to be confirmed. My first BA was with Dr ***** **** and I had a very positive experience, my TT is going to be with Tim Brown.

I'm a stay at home mum, have had 2 very interesting careers as a fashion buyer/product developer and also as a Flight Attendant, and have modelled for the past 10 years but now with the kiddies only do jobs if it fits in with my daily routine and is good $$$$ :p.

Have enjoyed reading about your experiences, especially the ones about TT, as I am rather scared about this procedure.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Great to meet you JJ. What original size did you go for with your BA? What results are you looking for from your revision?

2 little tots and a model! I'm in awe of you already chick, plus a fashion designer and flight attendant! Wowza, that is an enviable career so far!! Xx

Thanks LaTishaToya (love the name by the way!) I originally had 250cc, put me in a 12D bra. Now that I have had another child and therefore gained AND lost weight again (ah the joys) I need a bit of a top up in terms of volume. My PS suggested, based on my proportions and breast width, 390cc up to 460cc. I would feel more comfortable with 360cc so I will discuss with him when I have another consult. He seems to think I will not be happy with 360cc, but I don't think I clearly conveyed that I don't want much bigger boobs...

Meh I'm no Miranda Kerr thats for sure! Modelling is nice if the clients are nice and the fellow models are nice, and if not, then it can be interesting, for want of a better word! These days I tend to do it only if the client already knows my work - to organise childcare to then drive 45 minutes into the city just for a casting is not my cup of tea anymore.

welcome JJ looks like you have lived a very fulfilling life, good to meet another flight attendant on here even if you have moved on. Do you do facial modelling im just wondering because it sounds strange to me that a model is getting a TT?. Why arent you having your TT with CHR1S M0SS? are you getting a revision because you want bigger implants or are you unhappy with your BA in general? sorry for the 21 questions haha!

Hi Tango, I guess it must sound funny (and unbelievable maybe?) for a model to be getting a TT - NOT that I consider myself a "model" as in that is my occupation - it is more like something that I do every now and then especially now that I am much older than the average model so my jobs are for "classic" clients like your more mature fashions, or catalogue work. (Like I said, Miranda Kerr I aint :)). I am getting a tummy tuck purely for a bit of loose skin on my lower abdomen - I am a size 10 but as I gained 33kg in my first pregnancy, and being older, it didn't just all snap back into place. Each to their own, and of course I've had a couple of people say "oh don't be silly you don't need it" but then again, plastic surgery is about fulfilling one's own individual needs so that's why. I feel that my body is otherwise quite decent for my age so if I want to be 100% confident in a bikini then I have a right to do that. As for the BA, I have since had another child, and need a bit more volume. I decided not to have a TT with CHR1S M0SS because I was quoted around 17K for it, and I didn't feel he was worth it. He is a breast and facial specialist, from what I have been told, and I dont think paying 4K more equals a more spectacular result, so I am going with someone who has a better bedside a consult manner, for slightly less price and who has more experience in TT work (and in plastics in general.) I still think M0SS is a good surgeon, but not appropriate for my needs on this particular occasion.

It doesn't (to me) seem weirder for someone who models to get a TT than those models who get BA's, lipo, eyelid surgery...of which there are plenty!!! Obviously if I was a ZOO model it might not work, but I'm a bit past that now anyway!

yeah it did sound funny and thats why i asked but there are all kinds of models not just bikini models which I didnt consider when writing the post and you dont have to tell me twice about fulfilling ones individual needs your preaching to the choir. If it makes you confident go right ahead and interesting to hear you dont think he has a good bedside manner because it has been said before hence why his name is blacked out. And that is too true about models getting all those procedures done surely all those victoria secret models dont have naturally pouty lips. I wish you all the best JJ keep us posted on your progress xx

Thanks Tango, I must admit it is pretty scary to go for such a major procedure for what most would consider to be a minor flaw! x (and yep, those Victoria Secrets models definitely don't have naturally bountiful breasts either!!)

thats what I think too but then I question why they would get a BA and go so small most of them dont look bigger than a C, but then again they cant make it look obvious...sneaky. If i was a celeb id tell everyone what i had done id be proud haha

Tango, the fashion industry simply doesn't appreciate a massive rack. Models are meant to be coat hangers - designer clothes hang better off a tall slim frame and DD's or an E would screw that all up. Occassionally there will be a model with big boobs (like Kate Upton) who makes it, but they are treated as somewhat of a novelty and a statement by a designer, and Kate, drop dead stunning though she is, it is unlikely that she will front big campaigns for the high end designers or walk in their shows. They also aren't really permitted to change themselves massively (like going from a C to an F cup.) Even your regular Melbourne working model just can't go and change their hair colour or cut a fringe without getting their agency's OK first.

Hi jj I'm glad you're doing something for yourself and are looking into doing you tt and new ba. I hear on here that tt is hardcore so it's pretty wise to do it as separate procedures. Wishing you all the best on your journey xx

Hi JJ welcome! I had a full adomnioplasty, BA/BL and upper eyelid lift last week. Or 10 days ago! Sounds like your tt will be a lot easier than mine as they cut 3.5kg of tummy away from mine lol. Im a size 16, lost 25 kg but have always had a very saggy tummy etc due to loss of elasticity many years ago. So having said that Indi is right in saying it is full on however I am glad I had all my procedures done at the one time. I couldn't imagine getting my tummy done....recovering then knowing I had to go in for round 2. Each to their own though. I can only comment on my experience and having all these procedures done at one I am pleased I did it. If you want to ask me anything re TT feel free to. Goodluck with whatever you decided.

Yes your right very true, being a model would suck sometimes having to get the ok first. and I love Kate Upton she was my boobspiration!
