Advice on Cosmetic Institute

Recommended Posts

Hi girls, been wanting to get my boobs done for a long time now, was booked in with a Sydney surgeon but had to pull out as the $13,500 just wasn't realistic. I started looking at Thailand doctors but am too nervous about something going wrong over there. I've just come across TCI and they're so cheap with great reviews as far as I can tell, would love to hear your advice on which surgeon to go with though, I'm not really too fussed on cosmetic vs plastic surgeon, more interested in the results!

Looking on their site it seems like they're all round implants? When I had my consults earlier in the year with other doctors, they both suggested 400cc but one told me round, the other teardrop. Just wondering if TCI actually do teardrop implants at all??

I would love to see pictures, new to the site but I think I need to friend request people? If you don't mind sharing information/photos that would be great!

Hi lexx,

I am going through TCI in October with Dr Val. On their website I am pretty sure it says they do tear drop implants. It will obviously depend on what the surgeon thinks is best for your shape!! There are quite a few girls on here who have been with TCI and I am sure they will answer any of your questions!! x

Hi Lexx. I'm also booked in for my BA with Dr Val on 13th of August. I have my consultation July 1st, on Monday. I can't wait to meet Dr Val and try on sizers! :D I'm sure they do teardrops. It's just that rounds is the most popular. Feel free to give them a call and ask away.

heya :) I am trying to figure out whether to go Thailand or TCI, my main points are the aftercare - Thailand is much more attentive with nurses and meds, then TCI is same day discharge..... Then Thailand gives u general anastethic and TCI does twilight sedation. that's what has scared me the most. I was 100% on TCI then someone told me what twilight was and I **** myself ahhhahahaha. im wanting to know whther people would choose aus and twilight over thai and GA.

Personally, I have no concern with twilight sedation. It's a light but effective anesthesia option which gives you the necessary attributes of full sedation WITHOUT the added dangers normally seen in deep general sedation. It IS possible to wake up during the procedure and even say a few words but you will not feel any pain during and rarely remember any details of the surgery. Just because it's possible doesn't mean it WILL happen. This is a very popular anesthesia choice. Can be given via gas or IV.

You sound EXACTLY like me! I first started looking at Melbourne surgeons, but just couldn't afford the price. So then looked into Thailand. I was pretty set on PIAC, had already looked into accommodation and was about to book when i started reading about TCI. I booked in and paid my deposit with TCI about 3 months ago. I'm from Melbourne so my consult will be the day before my op. TCI are amazing, they are so helpful! I also chose TCI because they're only a short plane ride away, and I plan on going back there just for a day trip on both my 6 week & 3 month post op check ups. With Thailand, going back there for a check up is a bit unrealistic !

Book with TCI! You wont regret it :)

Which surgeon are you thinking of going with? Mine is Dr Tang.

35 days to go for me !!

Thanks for all your help so far:) what size and shape are you all getting? I have noo idea which surgeon to go for, there doesn't seem to be one name that comes up more often than the rest, so hoping that means they're all pretty good!

How soon after your consult did you get to book in? I'm so impatient I know once I decide to book I'm going to want the earliest possible date so I can get my new boobies asap:o

When I called to book in for my consult I was given a choice between Dr Ali and Dr Val and went with Dr Val. As I live away from Sydney I am having the consult the day before and then having the surgery the day after so I am unsure of what size I will be going, but I have lots of inspiration pictures of what I like and a basic idea that I just want to match the rest of my curves! Jessica, the lady from TCI I have been speaking with, is so lovely and so willing to answer every possible question which makes me feel very at ease.

Do any of the doctors specialise in a certain shape/look as far as anyone knows? Been looking at the pictures on their site but all the doctors seem to be able to achieve different looks/results from patient to patient so I just don't know how to pick which one to go with:confused:

I had BA on Tuesday at TCI. All good, would love to tell u about my experience but I'm one of the unlucky ones and I'm in the most incredible pain, no painkiller is helping me. I'm completely bed ridden! Please don't let twilight sedation put you off. I might as well have had a general, I had a general last year with a laparoscopy and felt just as asleep this time.

Anyway would live to type more but that just took me ten minutes to do. Would 100% recommend TCI though !

Sorry to hear you're in so much pain pomkatie! Hopefully that subsides soon and you can start to enjoy your new boobs:) from your stats sounds like they'll be huuuge! What size are you expecting the 460s to take you to? And which doctor did you use?

I actually have no idea what size they will be, I think that they look like possibly an E or an F but I've never actually seen naked Es or Fs so I don't know :( that's not much help is it. My natural "DDs" were small and not even sure how they were DDs but they defo look very full right now, but I know they will change and possibly look a bit bigger once they have settled down. They don't feel huge though. I will put pics up as soon as I can hold my phone out with my arm!

As for the pain, everyone is different aren't they, wish I was one of the lucky ones right now though! Still, it will be worth it!!! Boobies!!!!

I never considered getting my boobs done because I always assumed that it costed no less than $15,000 and I couldn't pay that much. I then found out about Thailand and was so happy! The only thing I really did not like at all was being away from my family after having such a big op.

Couple days later I found TCI. At first I thought it was too good to be true. I called them up straight away and spoke to the directer, he was lovely & explained everything so very well and thorough. The twilight sedation really put me off though until I was told pretty much all patients do not feel/remember a thing from it. I compaired prices.. Thailand vs TCI (including flights & spending money etc) and it was only $900 more to get it done here in Aus. Which I'm very happy about. Makes me feel very safe!

To be honest I think TCI is too wonderful to pass up. The staff are all trained well & know what they are doing so I have no doubts :) I am yet to book but I'm thinking late Novemeber. Good luck with your decision making!

I've chosen Dr Ali by the way! Mainly because my partner & I both feel more comfortable that I'm seeing a female Dr :) I've heard/seen only great things from all the surgeons there! No matter who you chose you will have wonderful results.

Hi girls,

I had my BA with Dr Ali 8 weeks ago & can't recommend them highly enough. I'd always wanted bigger boobs but never actually thought i'd do it! It was only after my second bub was born last year that i started thinking seriously about it - since i totally missed out on the big boobs you're meant to get in pregnancy :( I had booked in for a consult with a local PS but found out it was going to cost over $13K. It was around this time that I read about TCI in the Sunday paper, I booked in the following week & did it. I had thought about Thailand earlier on but never seriously looked into it, I couldn't have left my family anyways. I'm so happy with my results although I'm still waiting for them to drop & fluff - it's happening very slowly!

As for twilight sedation, I found it absolutely unbelievable! One second I was laying on the table in theatre, the next I was waking up in recovery feeling fine! Although I was very tight in the chest & found it really hard to take a deep breath but I guess that's only to be expected. I'm still amazed at how quickly & easily the whole surgery & recovery was!

Congrats on your BA POMKatie, sorry to hear you're in so much pain. How you going today?
