Walked in surgeons with something walked out wth something different

Recommended Posts

Hi sexy ladies for some of you who know who I am and have known for weeks I've been so confused about size. I've had two appointments looking at sizes and wasn't 100% so today was my 3rd appointment and so happy I made the 3rd appointment as it changed everything! Moral if in doubt go for another appointment! I walked in having decided on sillimed overs but didn't know weather to go the 505hp 500xhp or 570xhp. Well that all went out the window! I was upgraded to mentor implants they are the number one lowest risk implant for cc on the market done be a resent study that's just come out in the US weather or not some can debate and thats not against all aus brands but they are a better product than the silimed texture i was thinking of going with first.. I've gone the 550cc but in a moderate profile why not high or extra high reason being is I don't want madonnas cone boobs lol I like 1finger cleavage between breast and using a hp or XHP the gab between breast is wider as its more projection and i also wanted a slight side boob when in a bikini and a more rounded shape than pointed and if I do want to have them with more projection on nights out I can always wear a push up bra.. I wanted to achieve more of an hour glass figure and going rounder in width gives me this as the XHP is more narrow on me.. But the major thing I was so against was under the muscle but the surgeon said trust me so I'm going dural plane which is the top half of the implant is under the muscle so when im bending over I will be lower risk at rippling showing and its a smother finish on my chest even thou you need 2cm of breast tissue to go overs and I had 3 1/2cm if I loose weight later on the implant will always be hidden my muscle. it's about 1-2weeks more recovery time to go dural plane than it is to go overs..

Wow

That has confused me even more with my decision lol

But glad you have made your mind up & are confident to go ahead.

What you said about cone boobs with XHP scared me lol i don't want them

but my surgeon recommended the XHP so i could put my arms down lol

But my sister has HP and they look amazing

So im still up in the air.

The rice sizers don't seem to help much in the profile department i dont think - more on the CC

Does anyone else have tips for decing on profile type.

DId they make you pay for 3 x consults diamonds or just the 1?

katems, do a search on play doh sizers in the forum, they really helped me with profile, you can put them in your bra and see how they will sit.

Diamonds, dual plane is a great alternative to overs, less chance of cc and better for mammograms :)

Yay! I've also got mentor, moderate (plus) and dual plane :) hehe but a mere 350cc compared to your 500! Haha they give such a nice shape the mods and I have plenty of projection (the mentor mod plus is the same projection as nagor high profile anyway so is comparable)

theyre gonna be awesome! And my recovery was awesome too was fully off pain meds by day two so don't stress about "longer" recovery, everyone is different and I'm sure it's not any more or less painfull than full unders... Xx

I've just had under the muscle and the pain was down to panadiene by day 3-4 and even though I had them from under the arm incision I could raise my arms and use them relatively easily by day 3. Most of my pain was getting up or laying back its was the filling up of the chest area that hurt. But I did get quite bruised from the op (the right side even down to my hip !!!) but all good now they just take longer to relax apparently......

Aw - I'm so confused now ... I love the look of mod plus profile boobs that I have seen on here, but I've been recommended HP - can some one tell me their thoughts over why they went with mod plus instead of HP? I know the mod plus is wider...would that mean more cleavage or solely side boob.

Congrats Hun for picking! I wouldn't completely rule out rippling as I have dual plane & have ripplying on my outer left when bent over, in the area to covered by the muscle. I was told it may most likely go by 1yr mark but just letting u know its still possible

hi katems 22 im so happy Im not confused anymore and trust me I had the surgeon interigated with 100 questions lol I had to pay for the first consultation of $180 some was refunded my medicare but no they were happy to keep consulting me until I was happy, it came down to what I wanted my boobs to look like and I wanted big round soft juicy boobs with 1 finger apart cleavage in the middle and a little bit of that sexy side boob for when I wear loose singlets and bikinis,, ill post a photo of me with sizers in with what im going with which is the 550cc texture round moderate profile.. but yes I found the xhp was too narrow and pointy for me if you look at my pic youll be able to see how the boob is softy curved not so much sticking out..

Hey Diamonds :) not sure if anyone's mentioned it already but Brazilians (if they're the Silimed overs you were originally going with, not Silimed textured?) aren't used in the US so obviously aren't going to be included in any studies done there.... Remember to research implants that are available in Oz, we don't live in the US :p

hi there bex31 I was going with silimed textured not silimed Brazilians as my surgeon doesn't want to use Brazilians as he hasn't seen the long term results yet these studies were realised last week and this was stated by my surgeon not google or a friend that manor are the number one lowest risk against cc and are better than silimed textured. I guess you could question your surgeon about this new find ;-)

What she means is there are other brands of implants around these days not yet approved in America that have a low rate of CC but as they are not used there they wouldn't be included in the study (I have a brand also not used in the USA but has a lower rate of CC then other brands of textured).

Mentor and Allegan are the 2 most popular brands in the USA so the result is no real surprise, they are a very well known reputable implant, however until a study is done using Aussie approved implants (we have some great ones for CC that the US doesn't) then it isn't really applicable here :)

Haha ok ;)

Thing is Diamond, Brazilians are, let's say "hard" to use, so surgeons who aren't experienced using them will "talk you out of them" so to speak.... This has happened before on the forum..... Not trying to start anything here, just want you to be well informed :) Do your own research & don't necessarily believe everything that you hear :)

Don, that's exactly what I was meaning.... You said it a lot better haha :p (& Sientra/Silimed are the same implants for anyone who didn't know that already :) )

I have Cereforms. They are a European brand but have been used in Aus for the last few years They are an inbetween of smooth and textured surface (almost velvety to touch not as rough as textured but not totally smooth either), no added coatings, just a regular looking implant but the rupture and CC rate is less then 1%!!!

Not all surgeons use them yet though but I believe they are becoming more and more common as the years go on and they are proving themselves an excellent implant.

Mentor is an excellent well reputable brand, but I wouldn't read into American studies too much and go with what your surgeon thinks best for you xx

Hi diamonds,

I had capsular contracture from my first set of implants and was recommended brazillians because of their low rates of cc - similar to don its around 1-3% but as bex31 said they are a specialised implant to use and take great skill. Xxx good luck on your journey I hope they are perfect for you.
