For over twenty years I have been living with asymmetrical breasts. One A cup, the other E cup. For a long time I wanted to have them corrected. For the past year I’ve been living in the Pacific. There are no plastic surgeons in the country I reside, thus I needed to find a surgeon in Australia, New Zealand or Asia.
I started to search on the Internet and I wrote to several plastic surgeons. All of them have responded to my queries via email. However only Zilver Lining clinic called me on the phone. I was offered to have free consultation with Dr Choy via Skype.
Talking to Dr Choy for an hour via Skype helped me to understand what type of surgery I would require, the approximate logistics and costs involved. He recommended me to have a left sided augmentation and a right sided augmentation lift with a reduction approach. Dr Choy talked to me about all that even though at that time I had not made any decision on going ahead with him. He gave me the time to think everything through.
After I made my decision I was very much supported by Dr Choy’s team. I was in constant contact with Janie who helped me with any questions, administration as well as logistics. I had two more skype calls with Dr Choy before I flew to Sydney.
I stayed at a hotel recommended by Dr Choy, close to the hospital where I got operated. I had a face to face consultation with Dr Choy in his clinic the day before surgery. The staffs and nurses of the hospital were very friendly and supportive. Since I travelled alone, Tina, the patient coordinator of Dr Choy brought me back to the hotel and even got me all the prescribed medications. She checked on me throughout my stay and made me feel very confortable. Dr Choy and Tina visited me in the hotel the next morning to make sure that all is well.
I’m now 1 week postop and really excited to see my breasts to be a lot more similar in both size & shape. I haven’t had much pain at all. I was even able to explore Sydney at the same time before I fly back home! Thank you very much Dr Choy and the team at Zilver Lining for enabling me to have a truly positive and liberating experience to come this far in my life.
