Throughout my life I have had larger breasts I have always used proper bras for support and I have been quite active throughout my life. However reaching the age of fifty my neck, shoulders and back became intolerable I was dependent on medications and fortnightly osteopath appointments. My self confidence was low and I struggled to find clothing that was comfortable around the bust. Running was almost impossible without pain. My major reason for having breast reduction was that the drugs I was taking were controlling me and I was convinced this was because of the pressure my breasts were putting on my back. My first appointment with Dr Choy he explained what he thought he could achieve with me and number one thing was to alleviate the pain. He explained the breast reduction procedure at this time and was very thorough. Dr Choy gave me lots of time to ask questions. From this appointment I was put in touch with Nurse Moya who was my go to person for Coffs Harbour. I was contacted by Dr Choy’s receptionists at numerous times who kept me up to date with any relevant information I required. My follow up appointments have been very accommodating with my work schedule. Dr Choy has been very thorough at each appointment regarding wound care and scars. Now I have returned to running nearly every day. My clothing is fitting well, I have lost 5kgs. I have confidence and also I am pain free and off all medications. It is one decision I will never look back on.
