So, after being blessed with the services of Dr Ellis Choy for my breast reduction in 2010, and losing a significant amount of weight, in 2013 I underwent a radical abdominoplasty or a “tummy tuck” procedure.
After having two children (one via caesarean section) and losing weight, I was left with an apron of skin in my abdominal region that hung over my pubic area. This time I travelled to Dr Choy’s new private rooms at Sydney Northbridge – Zilver Lining Plastic & Cosmetic Surgery. Wow!! Dr Choy has gone all out to make his patient’s feel special. Walking in there was like walking into a five star hotel!! He had previously told me about the ceiling and what the design meant to him. It is a beautiful pendant light shaped like a lotus flower, surrounded by a dome with a long line running along the centre of the ceiling and, yes, he was right – it looks exactly like the “lollipop” scars on my breasts!
Again, we had numerous pre-operative appointments where Dr Choy prepared me for what the surgery involved. Three years after my breast reduction surgery, Dr Choy’s manner and professionalism haven’t changed. I was always given the opportunity to ask as many questions as I needed to. My procedure went extremely well and I couldn’t have wished for a better result. Our post-operative reviews continued over the next twelve months and we now try and catch up at least once a year.
From the time I made the decision to undergo surgery in 2009 to now, I have lost a total of about 35kg. I have competed in triathlons, the Sydney City to Surf, local fun runs and am now training for my first body building competition in 2016 – I will be 50 next year.
Words cannot describe how grateful I am to Dr Choy for being a major player in my body transformation. His support and friendship over the last six years has meant so much to me and I would urge anyone looking to undergo change via plastic surgery to make an appointment to meet this remarkable man, it may even change your life.
