Breast Augmentation

I had an amazing experience with my Breast Augmentation, I highly recommend getting this procedure done especially if you lack the confidence like I did. I had put on a lot of weight and seen a picture of myself one day, i was shocked and i became determined to loose the weight. I started a new healthy lifestyle and lost all the weight feeling better than ever BUT unfortunately my boobs went with it. I was now not even filling a B cup anymore so i decided to have a breast augmentation done. I decided to get 450cc implants under the muscle. I am now post surgery and extremely happy with the results. If you are in Perth Australia i highly recommend going to Guy Watts, he is the BEST and so professional. Please see below details of my journey. Night before: I was contacted by Dr Watts Anesthetist Chris to go through his part in the surgery and to ensure I fully understood the fasting before the surgery. He gave me reassurance and told me he would come introduce himself before the surgery. Morning of the Surgery: I went to the private clinic in Wembley, everything was really easy, I made final payment and then proceeded to get ready for the surgery. I got my blood pressure, weight and height checked before getting in to my gown and socks for the surgery. Dr Watts team came in and said hi and then Dr Watts came in did my markings. I felt completely at ease the whole time and was not nervous at all about the surgery, everything was very professional. After the operation: When I woke I felt a little tired but felt good, the nurses continued to check my blood pressure and made sure I was OK until Dr Watts came in. I then got a debrief on how the surgery went. Before being discharged the nurses make sure you can eat and make sure that you can go to the toilet on your own. At this stage you are taped up and in your post surgical support bra so you are a little still on movement. I took a zip jacket instead of an over the head top as its easier to put on as you are not to raise your arms up. Definitely a good tip if you are considering this surgery. Dr Watts came by and gave the all clear to be discharged, I was given my antibiotics and pain killers before setting off home. To sleep you need to ensure that you are propped up on two pillows, I had a u shaped pillow which I though was great as you need to sleep on your back and it stops you from rolling. Day 1 after surgery: Had no pain, just a little tight from the tape and had a heavy feeling which is normal. I got up every now and again to walk around for circulation reasons but I rested as directed. Dr Watts contacted me to ensure all was OK and I continued his directions of medication and resting. Day 2 after surgery: I was a bit more mobile so I could take longer walks but still being careful. Ensure that you only take bird baths and not to get the tape or area wet. Ensure you check each day for abnormalities, I was fine and had no bleeding. I had a little abdominal swelling but was able to toilet properly, some people get constipated. Following days after the surgery: I felt better with each day and each day I became more mobile and could move easier. The stomach bloating had eased also. Sleeping takes a bit of adjusting as you need to sleep on your back but each night gets easier. I did experience cracked nipples but again this is very normal. When the tape comes off you feel more comfortable and can wash better. I went back to work 1 week after the surgery but this will vary for each person, I have an office job so no lifting involved and I could take things easy. I noted how I felt each day so if anyone has any questions, I am happy to answer them :-) PS another tip - when choosing your support garment, choose a front zip bra, makes things a lot easier.
