  1. Hi girls, would love to hear your personal experiences with Dr Harwood in Brisbane. I am hoping to book with him for BA in May 2016! I'm 165cm, 76kg, current B-C cup, pear shape size 12 bum, size 10 top. Hoping to balance my curves and increase overall breast size. I've done my research and decided on Brazilians (I know they aren't for everyone, but for me I feel they are right). Current plan is 435 HP round unders, thinking of seeing if I can upsize at my next consult but will wait and see, BDW 14. I've added photos of me with sizers in 💁🏼💁🏼 Can't wait to hear about your experiences! Anyone else thinking May 2016? Need a boobie buddy! 😜
  2. Hi girls, how many consults did you get? I've seen Dr Harwood and based on my experience, online reviews, word of mouth referrals and gut feeling I want to book with him. I know I should get a second (or third) opinion but I agree with his recommendation - I had an idea in my mind of what I wanted before my consult. He is so knowledgeable yet friendly. The team seen great and I really want twilight anaesthesia, which he offers. Has anyone else only done one consult and knew that's the surgeon for them? Any feedback on Dr Harwood or recommended surgeons for second opinions would help
  3. Well this might be a long one but I just wanted to help out any others looking at getting a Boob job done so here goes. I'm 25 no kids yet, but planning on having at least one in about two years time. I've never had much boobs, I'm a 12a just, I'm about 55kg and 156cm tall with broad shoulders and I guess you could say I have a few curves but still thin so having a flat chest isn't ideal when you want to feel feminine or wear nice togs etc I've always wanted more so I'm in a steady relationship and happy with my life and decided to reasearch I spend months googling terms pre op info, post op info etc looking at pictures, googling surgeons. I started off thinking it would cost about 4-6k (overseas was not an option for me) I soon realised I was being unrealistic and I would really be looking at about 8-10!! This took time to get used to as it's a lot of money to spend on yourself but at the end of the day its life changing and you are the one that has to live with it so I couldn't justify going too cheap. (nothing against it I've seen they do great jobs but not for me) I ended up having a consult with Dr kim Harwood who I felt understood exactly what I wanted and made feel and my partner comfortable straight away and another with Dr Richardson unfortunately he just seemed happy to do what ever and made me very uneasy. I was confused and one is a plastic surgeon and the other a cosmetic surgeon (they both explained the difference to me very differently) I sat on everything and did more reasearch and read more stories on here of others who had been through the same surgeons I booked another consult with Dr Szalasy (sp) and another with Dr Harwood to question why Another surgeon had recommended other things. I ended up cancelling the one with Dr Szalasy and I had already in my head made up my mind to go with Dr Harwood. I had also send any question through emails with he personally responded to and promptly. It was locked in it was happening. I was booked in to get 305c, Xhp, dual, nuance style teardrop (they have and oval base, which will help fill my wide frame chest and make me more Proportionate). I had told him I wanted nice boobs where peoplego oh they're nice not boobs where people go oh wow look at her jugs. I wanted a natural look.
  4. Hi Ladies, I am having my procedure on Weds 11th March with Dr Harwood at Rejuvenation Clinic in Brisbane. I am currently a size 12, B Cup, 170cms tall and weigh around 66kgs. I am 37yrs old and have no children, and I am definitely not having any lol I will be getting Brazilian Teardrops, Over the muscle, with a moderate profile which I am really happy with. We tried a few different sizes during the consult and this was really the best outcome for me and I cannot wait. I am hoping for a D cup. My question is if anyone here has had over the muscle, I need to know whether I will require a good restrictive crop top/binder following the procedure for a while? I have been told I can return to work after 3 days, I will be taking 1 & 1/2 weeks off as I have a physical job and work full time just to be sure. I am also unsure if I should buy a bra before the procedure, or wait until the 1 week mark to see what size I will need. Like I said though I will be having at least 9 days off following the procedure. If anyone can help I would be greatly appreciative
  5. Ladies thought I would share my story with you all
  6. Hey everyone, I've spent 4 years reading these forums but never signed up but I'm FINALLY able to get my dream surgeries so I'm here asking for help! I want to have BA and Rhinoplasty simultaneously to avoid paying hospital fees twice, however I'm confused as to who I should do this with. Are there PS in Brisbane (& surrounds) that are multi-talented? Dr. Kim Harwood has amazing BA results, but only does Breast surgeries. My friend went with Dr. Greg Mcdermant for BA and hers are incredible, but has anyone had Rhinoplasty with him? Can someone please help me? Hope to hear from someone
  7. Hi ladies, I've been silently stalking this forum for a month or so and have finally decided it's time I join.... with 8 days to go until my BA!!! Better late than never I hope After having read so many of your posts/recommendations/advice to others, I made a snap decision to book in with Dr Harwood in Brisbane only a week ago, after my initial consult. This time next week I'm guaranteed to be completely freaking out! It's been a 10 year plan in the making but when I found out that a surgery date was available at the end of the month I jumped at the chance to finally take the plunge. Would love to hear from any Dr Harwood/furry Brazilian ladies... I'm going with Dr's suggestion of 365 HP furry teardrops, the size scares me a bit but I have to keep reminding myself that there's nothing there to start with lol. Due to my size/shape I've been told teardrops are really the only option. I'm almost 6ft tall, 60kg, and my ribs presently stick out further than my poor little boobies haha. I'm not kidding! It would be great to have some experienced ladies to ask about all the post-op stuff too Thanks in advance!
  8. So I'm just over three months post op now YAY! I had my three month post op check up with Dr Harwood last Thursday and he was really happy with how they're going no sign of double bubble and the scars are healing well. I also got measured properly finally so my end result is 10DD from 10A which I'm so stoked about! I'm currently applying bio oil two times a day to the scars, Dr harwood told me I didn't need to scar strips so I stopped using them. I've just posted updated photos and have another checkup for my six month mark in June (:
  9. Today was the day. I rocked up to the clinic (rejuvenation clinic inspring hill) at 7am. Went through the paperwork and medications with Dr Harwood then was sent off with a lovely nurse who made me try on a bra and then Dr Harwood came back in and took photos then drew up all the lines etc etc. He was really lovely and gave me a hug when he asked if it was my first surgery and said he would guice me through the whole thing. I had to lay down on a small surgical bed and he explained that they would hive me to shots one to relax me and make me feel like i've had a few glasses of wine and the other will knock me out. The nurse gave me the first injection i felt like i had definitely had more thena few glasses of wine HAHA but she was lovely and kept talking to me asking me about myself whilst they all cleaned up and prepared for the operation. She gave me the second injection and next thing I know I was awake fully clothes with the surgical bra and a strap accross my chest in a reclined seat with a blanket in a small recovery room. The nurse was standing here and asked how i was feeling and said i was looking good and brought me a tea and some biscuits and jelly beans. I dozed in and out of sleep every 5-10 minutes until my friend arrived to wait with me until my mum could pick us up. The nurse gave me some nausea pills which i took in case i got sick which i did not long later from the anesthetic. I don't remember much of getting home i guess i was still dosed up haha but i got home by about 12. I havn't been in much pain at all which i'm really happy with just a little aching wheni move but its bearable. I ended up going 425cc so i'm hoping it will be about a D they look like it i think haha! I'll keep everyone updated as the days/weeks progress (:
  10. So it's not almost 5 days post op. I love my new boobs and they're healing really well, not much pain other than i bit of morning pain but I think I'm starting to get a bit of "boobie greed" already.. I got 425cc EHP under the muscle which my surgeon said should give me a D maybe DD from an A. Looking at them and then looking at other peoples post op photos i feek like they're still small though I know they will change heaps in shape over the next month or so I just hope they don't get any smaller! How did everyone else find theirs changed over the months? Good or bad? Am i freaking out for nothing?
  11. As promised, 1 week post op photos are now up! Technically one week is tomorrow but i had time today s i did it today (: 425cc Under The Muscle Extra High Profile Brazilians Round with Dr Harwood and the Rejuvenation Clinic in Brisbane. Add me a sa friend if you would like to see (:
  12. Just uploaded some photos Day one post op. I'll upload some more in as week and then in a few weeks etc as they change (: 425cc Under the Muscle High Profile Brazilian with Dr Harwood at the Rejuvenation Clinic. Stats: 61kg, 163cm Add me as a friend if you want to see the photos (:
  13. Hi Ladies, I'm counting down the days til my BA with Dr Harwood (4 days now!). I was just wondering how everyone else's recoveries went? I've been reading so much on recovery stories and I nearly went with Dr Fleming because of his "rapid recovery technique" method that he flogs on about, but when I spoke to Kim over the phone (as I'm in Cairns) he was just so lovely and knowledgeable and when I asked him questions about recovery, he made it sound not so bad (i.e. I'll be able to lift my arms up the same day etc...) So I considered that perhaps other surgeons do the exact same thing as Dr Fleming but just don't go on about it? I'd love to hear of your experiences with pain, from say, day of surgery, days following, weeks after etc. and what kind of incision/placement/size etc. did you go get? (I've also posted this question in the group for Dr Harwood's girls but thought I might get more responses in this forum).
  14. So I'm less than a week out now from surgery! I was originally having them done in thailand 6 months ago but that fell through so here I am getting them done in Brisbane. I feel slightly better about having them done here and being able to recover at home now. I'm getting 425cc Extra High Profile under the muscle hoping for a D/DD currently an A. Freaking out a little now, but hopefully everything goes well!
  15. So I had a consult with Dr Harwood this week, and unfortunately he can't operate on me as my saggies are saggier than I first thought and I need a BL as well as a BA The good news is that Dr H. definitely lived up to his great reputation and was kind, caring and has referred me onto a PS. He was definitely focussed on getting the best result for me, and that's what I'm after too, so I'm coming to grips with the thought of extra scarring and a longer recovery time. I now have appointments booked with Dr Neil Allen in Ipswich, and Dr Dan Kennedy in the Valley. I'm also considering trying to get into see Dr Fleming as I believe he does lifts as well as BAs. I'm scared of the additional scarring, and the extra cost if I am honest. I would love to hear from other women who've been or are going through the same op. I've also read something about an internal lift. Would love to hear from anyone who's opted for that. Thanks!
  16. Ok, time for my story (Sorry…super long). I just wanted to pay it forward as I really valued reading all the other experiences of the ladies before me. I’m 35 with two kids and my partner and I decided that after 10 years that we are going to get married next year. My fiancé is a boob man and has been talking about me getting boobs for as long as I can remember. Ever since I had my first child 6 years ago I have been wanting to have family photos taken but I have never had it done as I have always been so unhappy about my weight/look and it would be depressing to look at a canvas on the wall of me not at my ideal. I found this forum and started doing research on local doctors in Brisbane and also learning all the terms and types of implants etc. The name that came up so often was Dr Harwood, so I booked an appointment. I actually think my fiancé was shocked when I told him, one of those things that he thought would never happen, but we did make a pact ages ago that I’d get a boob job if he gets a vasectomy. So we went along to the appointment and I really wasn’t too surprised about anything, as I had read other girls stories. Dr Harwood was nice enough and I was fine with all the touching and measuring. He recommended me either 435 HP, 485XHP or 495 HP. He asked if I had seen anyone else and I said no I’m just going on recommendations from girls on the forums. He encouraged me to seek another opinion if I wanted but said please use Brazilian implants even if it is not with him. I decided to book with him on the spot. I booked for 10 weeks’ time as I was going on a weight loss and get fit mission.I started working out 5-6 days a week and seeing a nutritionist. During this time I lost 8.5kg. I went back to Dr Harwood for a 2nd fitting because of the weight loss and we came out of it agreeing on the 435 HP as Ihad pretty much lost a cup size in 10 weeks. The week before surgery I was on a mission, almost like I was nesting before a baby. Cleaning everything even sorting out kitchen cupboards and drawers and also had a massive clothes throwout. I precooked and froze a lot of meals. On the day of surgery (23rd July) we were up super early and the kids were so surprised to be getting up in the dark. I was worried about peak hour traffic getting into the city by 7am but we were actually early. I didn’t let the family walk me in as I wasn’t planning on telling the kids about it. When I walked in the front door Dr Harwood was there and we exchanged hellos and he asked how I slept. I said terribly but I asked had he had slept well and wasn’t out to 4am partying! After a short time one of the nurses sat down on the lounge with me to go through me consent forms and also my drugs goody bag. We then tried on the surgical bra (you can pick from black or white) and put me in a paper gown.I remember wishing that I put deodorant on that morning as I was sweating heaps; they said I could but I was trying to be extra safe. Then I went into the operating room where Dr Harwood asked so what size are we going. I thought we had agreed on the 435HP but he remeasured me again and suggested I could go the 485XHP. I am the worst decision maker ever so he called over one of the nurses and she suggested the bigger size too. I was freaking out that they were going to be massive but went with the recommendation. They then took before pictures and then I got on the operating table; this is the one time that I was getting extremely nervous. The nurse then put in my cannula and kept asking if I was ok as I was looking scared.I was just thinking hurry up and give me that calming stuff that I have heard about. Once the calming drug kicked in I felt so much more relaxed and heavy and kept my eyes closed. They set up a surgical curtain so I couldn’t see my chest which I wasn’t expecting but glad they did. I was fully aware of everything though until they gave me the good drugs to knock me out. I think it was about 7.50 when they started. I remember waking up and hearing things still going on, no tsure if they were just finishing up or what but it didn’t really bother me at all. They then helped me up and into the recovery room to the recliner chair where there was some bickies and jelly beans waiting. About 10am I texted my fiancé to come get me, he was there in no time at all and we probably left just after 10.30. The nurse helped me out to the car. All done! The drive home was no problem and didn’t hurt. I got home and we then checked out my new assets in the bathroom mirror, set myself up on my pillow mountain in bed, took all the good drugs, put my frozen peas on and snoozed most of the afternoon. I can really recommend a V shaped pillow for around your neck for sleeping. Once the kids got home from school and day-care they came in and saw me. They had been told that I hurt my back and were so sweet. I have been able to get myself out of bed by myself. I found bending my right leg and putting my hand behind me knee and pulling up was the best way. My fiancé helped me shower and dress they next day without too much trouble or pain. Worst thing was putting on the surgical bra as I definitely had frankenboob and was very swollen. It has now been 1 week since my BA and recovery have been alot better than expected. From day two I was up helping getting the kids ready for school and doing their hair. Day 3 I was quite easily able to wash my hair and help make dinner. I started driving yesterday and also was able to do all of my ironing. Was off most drugs from day 3 except that I am sometimes still taking a small dose of mersydol and half a valium at night if I have overdone it during the day. I have been religious with taking my vitamin c, zinc and probiotics for weeks before surgery. I am actually finding that my back is sorest at the end of the day and have been taking a hot water bottle to bed to lie on. I have also taken Arnica, not sure if it has helped or not. Morning boob was probably worst this morning and took me about 4 goes to pull myself up. My boobs are still a bit frankenboobish and feel very tight at times, can’t wait to see them settle over time. Everything is qite itchy too. I have a BNT’s tape measure here and am measuring a 12DD to E, but they really don’t look that big. If I had known what I do now I wish I had gone bigger. Always go bigger!!! Anyway before and after pics are now up.
  17. I saw amazing results from Dr. Harwood and I’m willing to travel to Brisbane to see him but I might have a mildly tuberous breast but just a BA should be enough as I don’t need a lift and I’m happy with my areolas size so I’m just wondering if one of the girls here had tuberous breast and had a BA with Dr. Harwood. I know he’s a cosmetic surgeon but some tuberous case don’t require a lot of work and can be fixed with just implants. My husband is willing to take me for a consultation in June (for my birthday) but I don’t want to spend all the time and money to get in his office and discover he’s not going to do my breasts, I just wonder if have a way to find out if he can do my breasts before I fly to Brisbane. Dr. Harwood is number one on my list and I would love to have him as my surgeon but I just don’t wanna get too excited and be disappointed in the end. I just want nice big breasts ;)
  18. Being only 18 years old I took the big step in deciding that I wanted a BA. I was originally a aacup and after speaking to my doctor and Dr Harwood they came to the conclusion that I wouldn't grow anymore than I was. Being only 157cm and 47kg, I have a small frame and the main idea of my BA was to even out my body and make it look as natural as possible. After meeting with Dr Harwood for the first time he told me I had to go under the muscle, due to the lack of thick skin. He gave me he option of 250cc High Profile Brazilian Tear Drops or 270cc. We decided the 270cc would be most effective. Yesterday was D Day. I was very nervous though as I was getting dressed and ready the young girl before me came out and reassured me that you literally feel nothing and just nod off to sleep. I had a last minute stress attack that I would be going through all the pain for hardly any size difference so Dr Harwood calmly reassured me of my overall goal, natural and even looking breasts. He also remeasured me and told me the next size up implants wouldn't fit so there wasn't really option. I found him extremely reassuring while still giving his opinion and listening to mine. The first lot of twilight sedation made me feel slightly ill as the room spun quite a lot though i was told to close my eyes and this made everything better. Waking up i could hear the nurses and Dr speaking and cutting the last few stitches and within minutes they were putting my clothes back on and leading me out to the recovery room. I had no pain at all for the next 6-7 hours and just felt numb thinking this was great until the night hit. I took all pills required and still was in immense pain finding it very hard to breathe. First night I didn't sleep well at all as I couldn't move or sit up and struggled to find a comfortable position as my neck and back were very sore. I ended up sleeping flat which put more pressure on my chest but relaxed my back and mind. I ended up moving to a recliner couch which was SOO much better, I will be sleeping in it for the rest of the week. I showered this morning and saw my new breasts for the first time and cried out of joy. They look absolutely amazing and natural and I can't thank Dr Harwood for his beautiful work and also ensuring my overall goal was met. Second day pain was a lot more severe in the morning though as long as you keep up your pills and iced peas by the evening the pain was mild. I would recommend to anyone Dr Harwood as the experience has been so great especially being only 18 and having this for the rest of my life, he really did a great job. Please feel free to message me if you have any questions at all. Alana
  19. Hi girls, Well, I had my BA procedure today and thought I'd share my post-op experiences, as I know reading about everyone's experiences really helped me! Firstly, I had my BA with Dr Kim Harwood (Spring Hill, Brisbane). I ended up choosing him based on my experience with him during my consults and on the many rave reviews I received from friends who used him, and from girls on this forum - so thank you for that! Dr Harwood's consults are free, and I liked how he spent 45 minutes with me answering all my questions and really finding out about me and what would suit my body type. I'm 6 feet tall and 75 kgs, slim but pear-shaped with a bigger bootie. So hoping these bigger breasts will balance out my shape and make me feel better in my clothing, etc He measured up my breast, chest, shoulders, looked at my over all body shape, narrow shoulders and lifestyle (eg I'm no athlete or gym-head, but I do like walk daily/ride a bike and go to the gym for treadmill work and light lifting - so didn't want anything TOO big to get in the way of my lifestyle). I'm also 'older' at 42, so was really worried about my age, but he made me feel more confident about that too, etc. Anyhow, I had the procedure this morning and am amazed how good I feel. I really thought Id be in a lot of pain, but I'm feeling pretty good. His staff were great, meeting with me for a half hour to go over the post-op care, and answering any questions I had. It was great because she had a BA 4 years ago, so could give me sound advice/comments about what would happen after and what to expect. Dr Harwood was great/calming during the preparation, and my husband was with me too until I fell asleep so that was nice too. Dr Harwood was very calming and answered all my groggy questions, etc! I woke up thinking I had never fallen asleep, as they were finishing up the procedure (cleaning up the chest, taking off the surgical sheets, etc) and they told me it was all over! Had a cup of tea with my husband in the recovery room, and although feeling a little groggy, went straight home after a half hour. Im going to follow all the post-op meds - they really said I should take the Valium (since I had unders) to make sure there were no muscle spasms, and of course ALL the antibiotics until they were gone, so Im going to follow all that. Ok, ladies - that's about it from me, resting at home! I will keep you updated as I know everyone's experiences helped me a lot and made me feel more calmer/excited about going ahead with the whole procedure. Cheers! Babs PS I'm 6 feet, 75 kgs, slim but pear shaped (hopefully no more!), was basically a 12 A/B and got 385g anatomical high profile Brazilians under the muscle.
  20. Hi Ladies, Anyone else booked in tomorrow to have a BA? Not sure how I am going to sleep tonight Good luck to all the girls who are having there BA's tomorrow!!!! I will post before and after pics of my surgery during the week
  21. Hi Ladies, My pics are up from my BA yesterday with Dr. Harwood. Surgery went extremely well and I feel that my boob greed is settling in!!! Kind of wishing that I had asked for the 360CC instead of 315CC Brazilian tear drop but I will see how it goes after the swelling. Anyone else had this feeling straight after surgery? Pain is minimal due to taking my meds, valium gets me really doped out. Send a friend request if you would like to see my results
  22. Hi ladies Just wondering if anyone has experienced the dreaded stretch marks after breast implants and if bio oil helped much? Dr harwood said I will most likely get them so I have been using Bio Oil for the two weeks leading up to my surgery on Tuesday, hoping it helps!! Any info i.e. how fast they came, how long it took to get rid of them etc. would be great!! X
  23. I am new to this forum as last year I found out I had PIP implants but was pregnant at the time and couldn't do anything. I am having an MRI this week to confirm any ruptures and I am looking for a great surgeon in Brisbane/Gold Coast area and would love any suggestions? So far I am looking at Dr Harwood and Dr Richardson. My old surgeon is now retired and suggested Dr Boyle. Anyone had anything to do with Dr Boyle? I am also looking at going bigger as after having another child finding my boobs have moved south a little but am not sure on sizing. I am currently E cup (but look nowhere near an E cup - got measured the other week and lady at bra shop thought I was a C/D cup on first inspection) and I had 260cc put in as I already was a small C cup. Thinking of going around 400cc this time around to help fill out my boobs. Anyone had similar situation and can give me advise (although I know everyone is diff and fills out diff with the sizings and everything). Thanks!
  24. Hey girls! I've been on hiatus as I moved house a week ago and work has been crazy!! I've now updated my album with fifteen new photos of the girls ranging from the three week mark to today, I'm five and a half weeks! I updated my blog: abreastofthesituation.blogspot.com with my one month update and hopefully, fingers crossed, get a youtube vid up at my six week mark. It is crazy how time flies. My internet gets put on here at my new place this Monday so I will definitely make the effort to check in to the forum and answer any questions any of the new girls have. If you're not my friend, send a request and a message so you can view my pics. I'm still so over the moon about my new girls and just when I thought I started getting boobie greed and felt small.... (measuring a 10E at this point), I go to Bras N Things to get fitted and get a couple of bras and I'm a 10F !! YAY! xx
  25. Hi again You wonderful people were so helpful last time I had to ask another question... Has anyone heard of or used the following BRISBANE based ps? . Anthony Kane . Paul Belt . Dan Kennedy Any comments about the above (positive or negative) would go a long way... Any suggestions for brilliant Brisbane based surgeons would be wonderful- have seen a few names on here but the posts are a little old so wonder if the information is still applicable? Thanking you all in advance- so nice to finally hear from other people who have gone or will be going into surgery X rina x
