Hi everyone! This is my first forum post. I am planning on having a breast augmentation later in the year. I feel more comfortable using an agent than just on my own. What are your experiences using an agent and are there any you would avoid? I've seen some posts on here where the agent rep didn't show until time for payment etc, didn't support with the consult or pre surgery at all. If I'm paying for support, that's what I expect to get! So far I have talked to two agencies, international rejuvenation and cosmeditour. Initial vibes after info packs and phone convos are good with IR and less good with cosmeditour. I still think both are great but felt cosmeditour was trying to up sell me with teardrops when from my research round will recommendation a good result. I am also definitely going to contact nib options as although they are new, they have had an Australian plastic surgeon check out each of their Thai surgeons. That really makes me feel a lot better about travelling to Thailand! Please post below your experiences with any agent, good or bad, and your experience going it alone too. Thanks!
Hi everyone, Im new to this, i just thought I'd jump on to share my experience with you all. I had my Ba in April this year. I have wanted a breast augmentation for years, and finally at 26 i decided to go for it. I did so much research on Australian surgeons and also Thai surgeons, I decided that for the price of a BA in Thailand i couldn't see any reasons not to go, with such wonderful reviews from girls that went over there to the impressive resume of my surgeon, who happens to be the head surgeon of Bangkok Hospital. I contacted a VERY well known australian company and they were so lovely in my first consultation, then after I had paid them, they didn't want to know about me. I had such a bad feeling about the whole thing but put it down to nerves. They didn't answer my calls and when i chased them up after not hearing anything for 4 weeks, I was treated like a complete inconvenience. this wasn't a once off of them having a bad day, it was EVERY time i contacted them. I organised my own flights and accommodation and travelled with my partner. Surgery day, you see the surgeon a couple of hours before the surgery (so not like here where you can think about it or go back and discuss any concerns) and before i knew it i was falling asleep and so excited that when i wake i would have a brand new set of boobies! the staff at the hospital were wonderful, so gentle and caring. That made me feel really good and confident. 5 days later and i would have my bandages removed to reveal my new assets. they looked quite far apart, and one was lower than the other. My concerns were brushed off and i was told by my surgeon to wear a strap under the bust to prevent them from slipping down. This did NOT sound normal to me. but i did and i wore it for 2 months as tight as I could like he told me. it was like wearing a corset. Just so you all know, i am 5'1 and 45kgs and quite lean. I have 375cc high profile mentor smooth silicon implants. When i got home, things weren't looking any better, dispite doing everything down to a t, and by the book, I didn't want to do anything that might alter the final result.I would email my surgeon on a weekly basis with my concerns but was told it was normal and to keep warring the strap and post op bra. which i have been doing all along. (my post op bras i got from breast care WA and sent them my measurements, i got 2 front zip up ones for $75 each they sent me the smallest ones they had, that were 70cm.....I sent them my 66 cm measurements so i had to have these altered. they didn't even contact me to let me know they didn't have any small enough for me) Still concerned with the way they looked and calling the Australian company i went with, with my concerns, who mind you never even contacted me to see how i was going after my op. they sounded extremely concerned when they finally answered and said they would contact me back with a resolution asap. They never did, so i sent all of my photos and forwarded all of my emails that i had with my surgeon so they would have a history as to what has been going on. No response....so i again was chasing them up. Before i left they said should anything happen they have doctors here to help if needed. when they finally got back to me, it was offering to book me in with their GP, I had already booked in with my own GP to see what she thought and she was extreme concerned and sent me to a plastic surgeon here. I had my consult last week, and this is whats wrong (as worded by my surgeon here) In simple terms what has happened is:- 1) The implants have been placed too far apart 2) The muscle has not been released in the centre of your chest and you are getting "animation" of the implant when you flex your muscles. The implant is being pushed out by the muscle 3) There is double bubble complications 4) There is bottoming out of the implant. I knew something was wrong, and after them always telling me that they were fine, it was such a relief to hear that they weren't. I am so lucky in the sense that i didn't get any infections and that what has happened is fixable. although they will never be perfect, it could be much worse. I am now left to pay for this here. I feel so disappointed and heart broken, The pain is still lingering and i work in the fitness industry, so this has also effected my work. Before you look at saving a dollar, please remember that while there is a chance this may not happen, if it does you are left with the cost. This may happen here also but at least you can go back and have it fixed (most surgeons would do it for free if it was their error) I can't wait to have this all fixed and be able to look back at this and hopefully feel better about myself. Thats such a big part as to why we do it right? for the confidence, now mine has been diminished. PS, I still haven't heard from the Australian company I went with....What a joke. I hope me sharing this helps someone... xox
After waiting 6 months since breast feeding my two boys for 3 years straight ;( sigh... I am wanting to go to Thailand for new boobies and I am now being greedy and if the budget allows considering vaserliposuction to my lower abdomen for more muscle definition, which i had prior to my last pregnancy emergency cesarean. I was leaning towards Dr Jib Pongastorn through PIAC but apparently he isn't working out of that hospital anymore... I am a deflated B cup and really want to push for borderline fake full breasts, DD - DDD ?? Would love to hear from anyone who is travelling in 2015 - March April or May and what they are doing? And anyone who has an experience to share, especially after photo of Dr Jibs work. Thanks heaps! L
