Basically I've been confined to my room after a disasterous IPL treatment which was done on my face and under my eyes.The IPL left an ugly burn scar/indentation under both eyes. One of my eyes lost volume, skin and because of my panicking I have contributed to the problem. I need lower eyelid re-shaping as the lower corner skin has caved in slightly which seems to have offset the shape of my under eye area. I think some of my skin either haxto be pulled or stitched back into position OR I need some plumping under tge skin to give me a little fullness to re-adjust my under eye area. To say I am devistated and depressed is an understatement. I need some re-shaping for one eye and I need some form of scare revision for the other eye. As I am male, I would be just happy to have this ugly 1 inch (just over) scar somehow reduced slightly and have a surgeon.replace it with a surgical looking scar like I had stitches from a fight. The dark scar/indentation just looks horrendous to me and has obviously killed my self confidence.HELP HELP HELP!! I used to consider myself a good looking bloke and my life has been turned upside-down, so much so that I am a prisoner in my own house. is there a surgeon who u woukd have confidence in recommending me? I've already been damaged by an inept IPL practitioner who has ruined my life leading to me quitting work, relationships with friends and family. I hope for some hope!!! Any feedback/recommendations of a surgeon who can CAPABLY work minor miracles would be GREATLY appreciated. He is expensive though. He has a lot of reviews on reallife.com I haven't had any work done by him but a consult for another cosmetic procedure. I am in Brisbane but to be honest, if I can get the best treatment I will just have to drag myself out of my house, spend the money and go where I have to go.i would do and pay anything to get myself back to normal.thanks again ! I hope you have followed that up for compensation. I am in Brisbane (work in the industry), I will do some digging on facial surgeons for you. Yes, I have serious doubts about the qualifications if the woman who did the Ipl. I contacted lawyers but they were hesitant as I signed a form. I haven't gone further to investigate her qualifications. As well as my eye issues, I have what looks like a cigarette Ben on my face in the fold of my nose. I also have very sensitive skin now whith a pinkish mark that runs down both sides of my mouth. It all sounds horrible but I don't look like a bad burns victim. But they are little things that have really contributed to my mental state. What makes me angry is that I told her prior to my treatment that I didn't really want to do it coz I was scared of ipl and told her if I received any damage it woukd tip me over the edge cause I had been suffering from anxiety/depression issues. She laughed at me and assured me IPL was totally safe. To to say I am angry is an understatement. It had been tough to deal with both physically and mentally.
