Izzy09 0
I had liposuction on my inner and outer thighs, hips and knees four weeks ago today. I am a PT and am normally extremely active in the gym doing weights, HIIT, cycling and running. I seem to be healing well with most of my bruising having faded, however still considerably swollen around my knees and hips particularly. I'm just wondering if anyone can offer their experience in regard to when they were able to resume their usual workout routine after lipo surgery on their thighs? I have been walking everyday (3-5km) since about a week after surgery and have been doing some light upper body weight training however my knees are still so swollen I cannot crouch, jump or run yet. Was this normal for anyone else? I had my surgery done by Dr Chen at Ashbury Windsor and could not be happier with his work and aftercare and he tells me to be patient and that I will need to take it easy for several weeks. I just want to hear from anyone else who has had this procedure done and the timeframe in which they were able to return to a very active routine. Thankyou!

dominikindi 0
Hi, You need to first understand this from your Cosmetic surgeon by whom you have got the liposuction surgery done as they will be the right one to guide you but as general understanding you can resume back to normal activity in a week's time and light exercise can be done after 2-3 weeks.. Initially don't stress yourself with lots of exercise. Gradually increase your time of activity.
