I have no idea how bras work because I've never really cared or had a reason to haha. But I was buying a bra for post op and the girl told me a 10DD is the same cup size as a 12D... But I also think just like clothing, different brands sizes will vary.

I measured 10d at 2 weeks according to Berlei, fitter at a specialist lingerie shop measured me as 10dd at 2.5 weeks and at Bras n Things a 10e at 6 weeks. I'm sure I'm not a 10e. I think BnT Are small sizing. I don't think I've changed size since 2.5 weeks. Bra I bought then still fits really well. Overall, I'm happy with my size. Sometimes I think it would be good if they were a little bigger, but then I remember they wouldn't fit in with my active lifestyle. I've heard of girls getting larger after 3 months so will see what happens. I'm 8 weeks now.

My friend who I went to Thailand with is also bordering a 10DD/E mum05, I was bordering on an E at 3 weeks post op so I reckon I would've been a full E by now. Unfortunately my friend doesn't like hers.

She was after a D to maybe a DD (she was a B) so she now believes them to be too big.

Kinda hard to hear her complaining about it but still I can understand as she is a swimming teacher in her spare time and I think they're "getting in the way" :)

I was measured in a 12E comfort bra at BNT but she said in other bras id be a 10E or it really just varies in size. she says the measuring tape is basically useless and just go with what fits. SO Frustrating to hear.

But yes. Currently I think I'm a 10E.

Ummmm so today I went to Bras n Things, out of curiosity as I am only 1 week post-op and still not allowed to wear a bra. But I wanted to get measured. I AM CURRENTLY MEASURING A 12F!!!!!!!!! WTF! LOL

My boobs are so small compared to some of you (I had 370cc and don't look huge AT ALL) and my PS said I would be a D. Hmmmmm. I KNOW i'm not an F but it's pretty funny and weird how the sizing works. The lady said I would most likely end up an E cup. But I seriously think my boobs look small compared to a lot of you girls (I chose a smaller size on purpose).

Any idea what is up with the bra sizing in Australia????
