Do I need a breast lift?

I was interested in beast augmentation. I would like to achieve some more upper pole fullness and a perkier look then I am currently sporting. My question is, do I need a breast lift with breast augmentation or could I have breast augmentation without the lift.

Yes. Ideally you'll need both breast lift & implants to achieve your desired outcome of enhanced upper pole fullness and overall "perkiness" of your breasts. Unfortunately you are a bit "low breasted" and breast implants would be recommended to achieve a more long lasting effect from both augmentation & lift perspectives. The implants are used to fill the deficient volume in the upper pole while shifting the "foot print" of your breasts to a more lifted position; the breast lift component can both discard some of the redundant breast tissues in the lower pole as well as lifting the nipple areolar complex to a higher & more favourable position. This could be achieved with a lollipop scar with also the option to either stay the same size or going for a slight upsize as per your preference. This approach also allows a firmer "look" & "feel" in achieving the "perkier" look that you desire. Doing a straight breast augmentation without a lift is unlikely to achieve your desired outcome unless you're prepared to sacrifice a bit of upper pole fullness and risk the possibility of suboptimal nipple position. Depending on your breast fold position & tissue quality, sometimes in suitable & selected patients with appropriate surgical technique, a full looking "perky" result can be achieved except the upper pole fullness can potentially be compromised to a certain degree due to the limitations described. As this is not an uncommon situation in many of my patients, I understand it can be difficult to appreciate all implications involved. It'll be best for you to have a proper consultation before making the best decision for yourself. Hi there,
Thank you for your enquiry. Yes, you will require a breast lift and augmentation (implants) to achieve the look you desire. Upper pole fullness can be achieved once the nipple areola complex is re-positioned at a higher level, excess tissue is removed and an implant is inserted.

Please feel free to contact my clinic or undergo an online consultation for further advise.

    Kind Regards,
