Yes I did and I am very happy so far. My surgery went for 4 hours at the Cairns central day surgery. When in recovery though, I developed a haematoma which Dr Goldman picked up straight away and this was removed in another 30min procedure. I ended up staying the night at the cairns private. It wasn't a hassle at all and all staff were very professional and I was well looked after. I went and saw Dr Goldman, day 2 post op for a quick follow up. He phoned me after about a week to see how I was going. The nurses at the day surgery removed my dressings 10 days post op. I will see Dr Goldman again on 6th of Jan. My op was not straight forward by any means and so far things are looking good, keeping in mind it will be 9-12 months before I see the final results. I would recommend Dr Goldman without hesitation.

I'm glad to hear things went well. So how did you go about seeing him, since he flys in every month? Did you just make an appointment with the clinic and consult with the nurses or did you wait until he flew in and consult with him directly?

Sorry @Shayne you'll probably be getting many questions from me since you're the only person that has replied to the OP. And sorry that I'm hijacking your post @Un-decided :-P

No problem at all. I am happy to meet you for a coffee if you are in Cairns to answer any questions if you like. ? The more knowledge you have the better. I phoned the Perth office to make an appointment for Cairns. I had all of my appointments with him directly. I did look into other surgeons but only saw their nurses which in my opinion wasn't helpful. Dr Goldman will be here the week of the 3rd of January. I only had to see the nurse to remove my dressings and that was fine. That appointment was made for me before I was discharged following my procedure. Even though Dr Goldman isn't here, I have his mobile number and can make contact any time if I have any concerns. Let me know if you need anymore information. ?

Hi PrettyinBlack

sorry haven't been online as I have been trying to come to terms with the decision without confusion.. I have after 4 consults & 2 fittings booked with Dr Zwart for mid April. Feeling pretty apprehensive but also a bit excited. Hope you have been able to make some choices.
