So I’m getting lipo for the very first time on 16th May with Dr Chen at Ashbury. I haven’t seen too many topics for lipo around Brisbane over the last few years, so I thought I’d add my story in the hopes it will help someone else looking to take the journey. Had my inner and outer thighs as well as my flanks (hips/lovehandles whatever you want to call them) done by James Chen in Windsor, Brisbane QLD at the Ashbury Clinic.From the day of surgery you could already see results dramatically and now, day 4 post op, I am totally stoked by the fantastic results achieved by his handywork. Hi, just wondering if anyone has had liposuction at Ashbury Cosmetics? Would you recommend a specific Dr? And what were your results like? Also, I have issues in the past knowing my weight/ being weighed in front of people- strange I know- just wondering if at anytime you have to be weighed (ie before surgery) am I able to tell them why weight to save myself the embarrassment. I thought I would share my surgery experience, even though I haven't felt particularly welcomed on this forum. I think that is because I am one liposuction patient in a sea of breast augmentations. One of the reasons I chose Dr Chen was because he does his surgery under IV 'twilight' surgery using local anesthetic. I do not handle general well. I have had general anesthetic several times as an adult and I know that I react badly. I take forever to 'come to', I vomit and feel nauseous for days and generally get really ratty and depressed for up to a week. I just hate it. I have two friends who had outstanding results and recoveries with Dr Chen and after 2 other less than satisfying meetings with 2 other Brisbane BA surgeon, I went with Chen.
