Hello, I am thinking about him too. I think he has less reviews because a lot of surgeons buy fake reviews to look good on RealSelf. It does seem odd that less respected surgeons would have far more 5-star reviews despite having been in the industry for a shorter time. I believe some of these surgeons may pay/discount their customers to post good reviews or to post their before and after shots online or on social media. This is pure speculation however. I have narrowed down my search for a rhinoplasty ENT surgeon to Dr George Marcells and Dr Shahram Shahidi. Does anyone have any information on who will be best? Marcells seems to post less before and after photos, perhaps because he has a solid client base who pay good money and this he respects their privacy. Shahidi on the other hand seems to post lots of before and afters (perhaps offers patient discounts?), which I don’t see as a bad thing but it does make me wonder. Any thoughts on who to trust? There is so much contradictory information out there. I am also suspicious of relatively dodgy surgeons with 100+ positive reviews, when truly respected surgeons have very few reviews at all.

Hello, I have had a consult for male rhinoplasty with Dr George Marcells in Sydney, Australia. He was very nice and professional when I saw him, and took the time to listen to my concerns and show me how he could fix them. I felt really comfortable in the consultation with him. There are about 10 reviews on RealSelf and 19 on RateMDs. They are all positive for rhinoplasty, however I saw three comments in total about revision rhinoplasty with him which were not so good.
