  1. Hi so i had my BA done in 2012 i got 495cc high profile round on top of the muscle furry Brazilian implants. I recently was told that i have capsular contracture which surprised me as i thought that maybe my breasts stayed firm due to having the Brazilian implants as i was aware that they were much firmer than traditional implants. I'm planning to have a revision surgery soon just wondering how many others on here have had capsular contracture with the furry Brazilian implants? I'm not sure if i should get a different type of implant for my revision... Anyone have any experiences good or bad with the furry Brazilian implants??
  2. Hi ladies, just posting to seek some solidarity and to know I'm not the only one going through this... I am nearly a month and a half post op with 450cc round HP overs, and I'm EXTREMELLY unhappy with my result. They're SO SMALL, they look so out of proportion still with my body and there's a huge gap inbetween my boobs. The outcome is not at all what my surgeon and I had discussed and now i have to pay all over again for a revision to go to a bigger size that'll actually look like I've had something done. I think I need around 700cc to get the look I want which is what I've posted the two other photos of.. they're my goal boobs!!! I'm so upset ☹️ I'd love to hear some stories and get some support. X
  3. Hi Guys I had implants done overseas Nov 2013. Not happy at all. My implants are sitting high and where they should be and the rest of my natural boob is sagging. I hear Dr Tavakoli and Dr Miroshnik are the best but they will be way over my budget. Has anyone had revision surgery or a lift done with Dr Zion Chan? I know he trained under Dr Tan for 3 years and Dr Tan (before he retired) was known as a specialist in boobs and noses. Any reviews would help. xx
  4. Hi ladies, Just wondering if anyone can give me some revision surgery feedback? Had revision surgery today, had my implants lowered, feeling pretty damn good in comparison to the first op, up and about etc but just wondering if anyone knows about swelling, do they swell up much? Experiences with how long they take to settle? When you were able to exercise etc? any info would be great, thanks
  5. After 2 weeks post op, i noticed something wrong with my right breast. The crease was lower than my left breast. I sent pictures to PIAC and Dr thanakom to review, but was told it must be swelling, and for me not to worry. As time went on, I thought it got better. I was wrong. My implant started to slip out of position and into the lower pocket of my right breast. Now, my right fold is lower than my left, and my right nipple is higher than my left. I believe i have bottomed out. I have contacted PIAC and dr thanakom several times in the process, but still told that i am too early in the stages of recovery, and for me to be patient...so i posted my picture on realself.com for other plastic surgeons to review. all 3 surgeons that has reviewed my picture so far believes i need a revision. i am devastated. i made an appointment to see a plastic surgeon in my hometown on march 20th just to confirm. yes, it'll be out of my own pocket. I wonder, has anyone had problems like this before? Or..maybe thought they were "bottoming out" but turned out to be a false alarm? I pray thats the case... if not..has anyone used PIAC's guarantee? What does it cover? I am broke after the surgery....i don't think i can afford another flight there and hotels etc... please help
  6. Hello Ladies, My first "sharing the experience" post. Although I am not a newbie to plastic surgery, I just had to share this with you as I hope it will help someone and I wish I read this before I embarked on my BL & BA surgeries. My background: I have been quiet big busted all my life 10DD/E. Whilst breast feeding my two children I ended up going through the charts in bra sizes and upon completion (breast feeding) I deflated to a 10D and as you can imagine was left with a lot of parachute tissue. I started researching on sites like this, and decided on a doctor recommended on this sight a lot. Couldn't find anything bad about him on this site and I liked him after my consultation. I had three surgeries with him and I was running out of skin, my implants were uneven , my nipples were so close together I wanted to cry, and I could only wear sports bras otherwise my nipples would pop out. I was looking for second opinions, even thirds. Apart from costing a lot of money (for an opinion), every doctor was saying something else. I didn't know what to do. Someone in the medical field that used to assist Dr Hamish Farrow in surgery recommended him to me, said he was amazing and I should have a consult with him. I had my operation on the 30th of September only 4 days post op but I can already see they are looking great. The nurses in the hospital were singing him praises, telling me he is a perfectionist and if he says surgery went well and he is happy with the result - I will be too. Dr Farrow used the existing implants which were polyurethane )"brazillians" - I think 330 from memory. These were a good choice for me as I have "stretchy skin" and they adhere to the surface. Because one of my pockets was in the wrong place - too far outwards, he even used a graft material like an internal bra to hold the implant in place in the now more central pocket. I hope this is making sense. On day three I was in a lot of pain, but I had a sneak peak at my new boobies and I was delirious with happiness I didn't mind the pain. I took my painkillers and went to sleep. I might post some photos after the special bandage holding everything in place comes off. I hope some of you searching for a great Surgeon, especially if you know you are not a straightforward case may find this useful. If you go and see Dr Farrow - don't expect a spa like experience. It's surgery very pure, but not simple - the man is a genius. Good luck and you can PM if you have any questions
  7. I had breast augment in January 2007 in Mackay done by Bushell-Gutherie (270cc textured round silicone implants above muscle). At the end of 2012 I woke up one morning with an extremely sore left breast, hard, aching, almost felt like my milk was coming in. Went to hospital and they advised i see gp and go for ultrasound which I have now done and the implant is leaking. Have to go back and see Bushell-Gutherie tomorrow now that i have FINALLY managed to get in contact with his office but am also thinking of going to see Dr Gaffield at Elite. Has anyone else had an implant leak and what was the outcome or has anyone been to either one of these doctors and can give me - good/bad feedback. Arrrrrggggghhhhh more than a little freaking out since there is no way in bloody hell I can afford surgery :-(
  8. So I had my BA last year -24th October...had 385cc Allergan round textured under the muscle. All went so well, recovery was uneventful, scars healed perfectly, dropped and fluffed nicely. I was so happy with my result. Then in July I had a bit of sharp shooting pains in my lefty and started to notice it was changing shape and he gotten higher and slightly firmer. Emailed my surgeon (sent some photos) had a consult at the end of August and am now booked in to have implants removed and replaced on 22nd October. Kinda funny actually - my best friend is booked in on the same day to have her BA (I sent her to Dr.Stradwick and she has been booked in for a few months now) and its 1 year since my initial BA. I am with HCF so I've been told surgery will not cost me anything - Only excess which is $450 but it's a day procedure so probably won't even have to pay that. Which is a relief! I have a consult on the 16th to choose size and implant type. I'm not sure whether to go with the brazilians this time round or not...can anyone vouch for them, how do they look feel in comparison to the cohesive gel type? All these decisions all over again....think I will go up a size or two though. Booby greed is terrible lol. Don't know what to tell people. Dr Stradwick said that although they are unsure what the cause of CCis they do believe it to be from biofilm - so basically an infection. I had antibiotics after my BA and I didn't feel like I had anything going on in there. But it can occur after....that's scary. I think I am leaning more towards brazilians, would hate to go through this again...I'm just not sure what to do. Any advice/info would be really appreciated. Would love to hear from anyone else who has had to have a capsulectomy and what implants you went with. TIA Anya
