I think I'm just going to find an outfit that covers the bra! I'd hate to risk it!

I was eating my arnica tablets like lollies post op. Didn't take any pre-op as advised by my surgeon (no herbal medicines, due to potential adverse reactions) The first 4 days and onwards post op was very manageable both pain and swelling wise. I felt really good. So it's possible it worked but I'm not sure ??? My biggest recommendation for swelling is to walk if you feel up to it. As soon as I got myself upright and moving I felt the morning boob literally draining away. And by the end of the day I felt best. A hot shower of the morning always made me feel better too for the stiffness you get in your body from sleeping upright.

I've been advised by my surgeon to wear my post op bra day and night 24/7 for the first 6 weeks. However, did anyone else in their first 6 weeks go braless for an event? Like going to the races for 4-5 hrs? Im not going to be drinking, just wanting to get dressed up and take the new girls for a spin. Its super hard to find something pretty to wear that would cover my post op bra. opinions?

Thanks @Wanting boobs ☺️ The swelling is manageable now. Walking definitely helps! That would be my main recommendation! But the bloating is awful! I feel like I've gained weight when I really haven't and it detracts from the new girls having a big belly! Walking helps with the bloating to move the built up gas. The new additions are changing everyday and look their best of an evening after fluid has drained from walking. Day four today and I'm feeling pretty normal! Just need to be mindful not to overdo it with the lifting or sudden movements. They're starting to feel like mine ☺️

Today I want to go without painkillers, as I've been a bit "backed up." I had been taking one or two as I've been going to the shops and stuff (have felt really good) After a day shopping the swelling significantly decreased so I think that drains the fluid. Felt the blues a little over the past few days! I fly home today so looking forward to getting into my normal routine eating wise as well. I think I might just be doing the typical thing where us girls get tough on ourselves for eating naughty and combine that with the very visible bloating I'm being a bit tough on myself! ? Will try more teas and water x

Has anyone got some post op tips to help with swelling and bloating? Feeling like a total potato I'm so bloated ? Day three post op. Boob swelling is definitely worse of a morning after I sleep. So I try to sit as straight as I can. Been icing them and taking arnica. They feel good after a little walk around to, I think this drains the swelling. Please help!

My whole experience so far has been phenomenal and easy to say the least. The southport TCI team are so wonderful. I felt so well looked after. When I woke up from surgery I was tight and sore across my chest. But since I got home, stiffness but no pain. Find everything very bareable and surprised at how good I feel! I was prescribed endone, forte, nausea tablets and antibiotics. Keeping the pain killers at a good maintenance level to stay comfortable. I feel sleepy and relaxed which is nice. Been taking arnica too which seems to of reduced some swelling I had, and regularly icing the gals! Walking around fine with good arm mobility. But definitely utilising my partner plenty as I don't want to push it. When I moved my head to quickly I experienced slight dizziness, but this is subsiding. Getting out of bed is tough, as when I tense my core it tightens my chest. Great tip from my nurse though. Place your hands in an X across your chest when getting in and out of cars and bed to resist the temptation of using your arms to pull or push you up. Have been eating normally, with a great appetite, no nausea. But don't want to overdo that either so haven't totally scoffed myself as per usual ? More frequent meals rather than large meals. I've had a peak with my bra on and they look great, my partner said they look "REALLY GOOD" so he's pleased! ? Excited for my shower tomorrow to have a proper look. One happy girl who is doing really well! I imagine I'll be stiff and sore, with the worst of tomorrow but we shall see. Will post before photos and post op day one photos when I have my first shower.

So I've been home since about 1.30pm. My whole experience so far has been phenomenal and easy to say the least. The southport TCI team are so wonderful. I felt so well looked after. I was prescribed endone, forte, nausea tablets and antibiotics but have only taken one endone so far to keep the pain killers at a good maintenance level. I feel sleepy and relaxed which is nice. Walking around fine with good arm mobility. But definitely utilising my partner plenty as I don't want to push it. Have been eating normally, but don't want to overdo that either. Surgery day today! 9.30am is admission time. It's currently almost 5am and I'm up with nerves and excitement! 450cc round, textured, high profile under the muscle. Will post again when I feel human!

Hi ladies! I had my Skype consult, with my in person consult next Wednesday, with surgery hopefully Thursday! Upon talking to Dr Kenny, he has suggested 450cc round, moderate, under the muscle. However, he has said he doesn't want to 100% commit to this until he has seen me in person, with me potentially having to come back for anatomicals rather than round, but this is unlikely. Super stoked with Dr Kenny so far, clearly has my best interests in mind. Very informative, calming and professional! Looking forward to the in person consult. Quite suprised about the sizing! But because I have broad shoulders, it will all be proportional. Dr Kenny explained his choices very well, so I feel relaxed and trust his judgment! Just getting last minute packing done now! ☺️☺️☺️

Hi all! Ive just started a new job relatively recently as a store person on a mine site. This involves lifting heavy objects, unpacking boxes, lots of walking etc... My BA is booked for the 5th of October (under the muscle) as I work shift work I'm not required to return until the 11th as I'm on days off. Please bear in mind I work 14 days on and 7 days off. My current options I'm throwing around are. - Get put on light duties for the following 3 + weeks and work from the Wednesday (the 11th) 7 days post op (get a medical certificate) - Get a medical certificate for another week off from Wednesday and then light duties after that for 3 + weeks. please also take into account I've just started this job and I work with all males whom I'd rather not openly discuss getting a BA with (I mean I'm going to lie about the reason for the medical certificate) anyone been in a similar situation where your options are limited? But you don't want/can't put off your BA. (Flights/accom have been booked)
