simply_me got a reaction from MellieMoo in What to tell my 4yr old regarding BA?
@MellieMoo my eldest is 8 and to be honest she hasnt mentioned anything lol so i dont really have advice, when i went to hospital i got her watched so she didnt no where i went and when i didnt come home her dad just told her i was having a break, i dont no if she hasnt noticed or just hasnt felt comfortable asking questions lol.. id say just tell your daughter what ever your comfortable with, if u dont mind her knowing just tell her your getting your boobs fixed haha if u prefer her not to no then u could probably tell her anything and she will believe it, if she says your boobs are bigger just act shocked and agree oh wow your right they do look bigger maybe its my magic bra haha nah i duno i didnt want my daughter to no for 2 reasons, one being there were certain people i didnt want to no like my inlaws as they wouldnt understand or be ok with it due to being very relgious people and i didnt want her to be put in a position to lie or feel like she has to hide things and the other because i didnt want to promote this type of thing i dont want her to feel like you have to alter your body, not saying id be against it if she ever wanted to do the same thing one day just dont want the idea stemming from me hahaha.

simply_me reacted to Sandy_ in Sizing ladies!
Amazing! Very kind man and super confident with what he is talking about. Everything he recommended is what I was already thinking so felt confident with him ☺️ Thank you so much for the recommendation!
I have no idea what breast size I am as I have barely anything and always felt too insecure to get sized professionally. I think almost a b cup but I emphasise the ALMOST part.
I was wanting to go up to a D so that is exciting you got there with the same cc! Are you happy with the size? Anything you would suggest for picking the size/implant? I want to get more volume at the top of the breast, compact and good side profile.
☺️
Are you happy with the overall volume and profile with that size? I am almost a b cup and have minimum breast tissue to work with. ?

simply_me got a reaction from I HaveBoobs in A bit concerned
@I HaveBoobs i could be completely wrong here but isnt that how capsular contraction is caused when scar tissue is formed in or around the capsule?

simply_me reacted to I HaveBoobs in 1 month post op
It will take a good 6 months for them to feel completely soft like natural breasts but they will get softer and softer as the weeks progress. I have textured anatomicals and it took a good 6 to 10 months before i could give mine a good squish , 1 mpo is still very early in the scheme of things give it time ?

simply_me got a reaction from RKN in Adelaide - Dr Kollias - Subfascial/overs
@RKN I had my surgery with Dr kollias almost 3 weeks ago I think his amazing and price very reasonable for a reputable plastic surgeon.. I got smooth round implants placed under muscle and cost me approx 9500 which includes night stay in hospital.. recommend him 100% very respectable surgeon lots of girls on here who have gone with him love their results and never hear anything but great things about him. Good luck with your choices

simply_me got a reaction from Kit in 2 weeks post OP
@Kit oh damn wow that's what I'm worried about.. I am feeling better tho right side still not great but not as bad as it was so hopefully no permanent damage happening... sometimes it feels like something hard is poking out the side of my breast and I actually go to feel if there is anything like implant poking out or something lol but there isn't.. I think my incisions ache too so much different pains going on here to pin point it all lol stressful times ? I have been trying to take it more easy trying to avoid lifting kids as much as possible it's just hard but I guess i knew it was going to be should of thought it out more realistically and done it at a time my partner could of been home longer or my eldest was on school holidays.. but my partner kept insisting it would be fine i should of listened to myself haha.. Just annoying because I felt bad enough spending this sort of money on myself when I have 3 kids to provide for and really don't wana end up messing it up and then realising I basically threw the money away on nothing lol want it to at least be worth it.

simply_me reacted to Kit in 2 weeks post OP
Hi @simply_me, how are your aches and pains today? Hope you are starting to feel better. It must be hard trying to take it easy with little ones to take care of.
The burning feeling sounds like the sunburn feeling on your skin which a lot of girls get post op (I did too in the early weeks)
I have found throughout my recovery that my post op pains were constantly changing eg. Pressure, zingers, burning, incision pain, general aches and it swapped from boob to boob too.
Currently my right side feels great, but I have discomfort with my left pec muscle at the moment. Still have abit of stretching and fluffing to go I think.
As previous posters have mentioned do try to take it easy as my personal trainer was telling me about a girl at the gym who went back training to early against her doctors wishes and bottomed out multiple times as she didn’t give a chance for her muscles to heal ?

@I HaveBoobs nah not harsh at all lol I know your right thanks for that I will definitely take your advise ?

simply_me reacted to I HaveBoobs in 2 weeks post OP
I know its hard with young ones as most of the time all they want is mommy , your ps is right try to minimize how much you pick them up for the next week or two if you can as you risk damaging your pocket or you could rip some internal stitches which may result in surgery to fix (i know its easy for me/people to say so sorry if it sounds harsh) but yes you did spend a lot of money so your just gonna have to improvise and get creative, if their mobile and totting around try to get them to climb (with your help) up onto a chair then lift them onto your lap then stand up or use the scoop n squat method i mentioned earlier, the less you can use your arms/chest in the first 4-6 wks the better off you'll be the pain yoyr feeling is a sign that your diong to much, i dont think by the sounds of things you've done any damage but if you keep diong what your doing you might. Hope i hav'nt come across to harsh i dont mean to just remember you've had major surgery and you need to take it easy. ??. Keep me posted on how you go.

The full heavey feeling you describe is whats ferered to as morning boob ( but not just related to the morning like morning sickness is usually all day sickness ?) and thats quite normal and will settle over the next few weeks, i would say that you may also be doing to much especially if your running around after a toddler, If you need to pick him/her up squat down scoop them into your chest 1 arm around their back 1 under the bottom and use your legs to lift do not bend from your waist and use your arms as it puts to much strain on your chest which is trying to heal. Dont be to alarmed if you start to experience sharp stabby like pains as well as your about to come into the zingers stage which is just nerves regenerating and this can last for months but the frequency gets less and less.

Hey hun, it's hard to say really. It could be your bra too tight or doing too much too soon. Try to take it a bit more easy (I know that's hard with two little ones). Rest up whenever you can. The feeling of fullness is quite normal, you are still very much early in your recovery. Take care xo

Ok....so I'm on the other side!! I fainted before the procedure when they put a fluid drip in as I was so dehydrated, was out of it when my PS marked me up and then felt 100% better after if fluids and panadol before being properly sedated! What a drama queen hey, anyways woke up well not too groggy. Slept on and off throughout yesterday. Was dying to drink but had to wait a further 6 hours after procedure to have fluids, nurses gave me ice cubes to suck thank goodness. Sore and swollen as to be expected, felt better after iv removed this morning and I'm now at home resting in bed with my mountain of pillows behind me. My bruising is quite bad as I needed to have clexane (anti clotting med) during and after procedure as I have factor V maiden (clot easier than others)..I'm not shocked at the result, feel quite pleased so far (I think looking at lots of before and after on forum has prepared me for worst) My left breast is sitting higher than the other but I'm well aware patience is required before seeing finished result. Have attached some pictures, thanks for your kind words and support!???

simply_me got a reaction from margaretriver in Breast lift & Augmentation August 2019
@margaretriver aww dw I keep getting same type of paranoia couple times I've over stretched to reach something and really hurt myself then panicking whether ive ruined something lol and couple times I got this weird slightly painful pop feeling in my breast like muscle snapping in place or something lol only happened a couple times not sure if it's normal or not i duno maybe is a spazam seems to happen when my chest tenses but not letting myself get overly concerned.. besides that I'm doing great the recovery is know where near as bad as I was expecting I'm already lifting my 12kg 11month old with no issues at all and I'm only just over 1 week po, but I don't make habit of doing it often only when I need too lol my 2 yr old I haven't been confident to lift yet but I probably could.. today is the first day I'm going to be completely on my own as my partner heads back to work and my 8 year old back to school so not sure how I'm going to go with putting them down to nap etc... my breasts are slowly softening they seem to feel alot softer when I bend down not sure why lol my breasts were very different too I think that's normal, from the moment I woke up from surgery my right side has been basically pain free, but my left was alot worse, now they both basically pain free only time I feel pain now is if I over stretch to do some thing and getting in and out of bed oh yes and after sleeping and getting up in morning which is what i think they refer to as morning boob lol..

simply_me reacted to I HaveBoobs in Compression Bra Question
As your swelling goes down then yes you will need to move the hooks to the tighter setting , but if you feel that it is a little to snug for your liking atm then leave it on the looser for a few mor days then try it again. It needs to feel like a firm fit but not uncomfortable.

simply_me reacted to margaretriver in Compression Bra Question
@simply_me I’ve been juggling with this too. I feel they need more support so went tighter but it left indentations too! I think it’s mesnt to be firm but comfy. U might just want to loosen at night but firmer during day/active??

simply_me reacted to Kit in Compression Bra Question
Not sure exactly what your supposed to do, however I am using the loosest clips which feels supportive and comfortable. I have tightened the clips on occasion and found it too restrictive and it left lots of marks on my skin.

simply_me got a reaction from MellieMoo in Adelaide - Dr Kollias - Subfascial/overs
@MellieMoo I just had surgery with Dr Kollias last week, I didn't get overs but I did get 450cc round dual plane and I am extremely happy with my results as are so many other girls that have used him, I understand your concern but i don't think you would be disappointed with him at all he really knows his stuff and I haven't came across anyone with a negative thing to say, he wouldnt recommend it if he didnt think he could give you amazing results. Just to ease any doubts you have get a second or even third opinion I think you will find the recommendations very similar if you see reputable surgoens, which will hopefully ease your nerves and if they are the same I'd definetly stick to Dr kollias not because he is cheaper but just because his work is truely amazing the lower price is just a bonus. I could not speak highly enough of him, when other girls said same thing i had my doubts and thought maybe they just overly excited but now ive done mine i can definetly say the same.. His price also includes a night stay in hospital where the staff are absolutely amazing, worth every dollar. A nurse there was telling me how she thinks Dr Kollias must be a real boob man as his work is always fantastic and how she had a niece who travelled to Sydney and paid 19k to get hers done and they are no where near as good as what Dr Kollias does.

simply_me reacted to cheetah in Dr Kollias BA advice
Sorry @simply_me I had missed your reply. I got round implants, I’m unsure he does teardrop? Maybe?? Anyway I find him quite conservative and believe he will recommend the best size, shape and position for you and your body.
Kolias’ recommendation was 365cc and I pushed a bit further (not much!) but should’ve gone a bit larger as I’m 174cm and have broad shoulders so could def have carried off a larger size. Anyway they’re 1000 times better than how they looked before - post breastfeeding two babies! I’m assuming you’re younger so I think he’ll let you get a larger size if you want. He’ll guide you with his recommendation but after all, you’re the one paying the money! I think he was also more conservative with me as I’ve had children and not in my 20’s!
@simply_me hey I just replied then noticed you had surgery last week - sorry you had to endure my waffle in the previous message ?
Anyway you had 450cc and sounds like you’re very happy, that’s awesome! I def should’ve gone with 450cc ah well too late now lol. So glad you’re happy with the results

simply_me reacted to margaretriver in Size of compression bra after surgery
This is interesting! I’m in some American compression bra- says 36d on it- nurse says too that don’t really worry about the size. Mine has 4 rows of hooks to bring in as swelling goes down. If anything I’m hoping mine go a bit smaller! My PS did warn me that it was a fine line between the size I probably wanted and “filling “ the envelope! I didnt want mine over-stuffed ?

simply_me reacted to Kit in Size of compression bra after surgery
Hi @simply_me don’t be discouraged by the sizing of the post surgery “amoena” bra which I assume is the same brand I have. When the bra lady came to fit she told me the sizing is completely different to normal bra size. My post op bra is a 12B and she said in a normal bra it would be equivalent to an 8D or 10C.
I definitely don’t have a D cup at 5 weeks post op and fit into a 10C. Very happy with a C cup and now just crossing fingers for some cleavage in the drop and fluff ?
