Good Evening, My name is Elizabeth Tekanyo. I am a postgrad researcher from Curtin University in WA investigating the stories and experiences of women who have undergone any form of genital alteration including cutting/circumcision/labiaplasty/piercing before moving to Australia. The aim of the study is to publish research on the experiences and needs of this population in order to better inform the Australian Government policy on the social, well-being and medical treatment needs relevant to this population from the anonymous stories and perspectives of the women themselves.
