Blondiva 30 Report post Posted April 28, 2024 I'm trying to decide and would love to hear from anyone that's had Dr Richardson in Brisbane? Also wondering if you felt you needed a more supportive bra than what they give you immediately after surgery until they fit you a week later? With many thanks ? 4 minutes ago, Blondiva said: I'm trying to decide and would love to hear from anyone that's had Dr Richardson in Brisbane? Blondiva 30 Report post Posted April 28, 2024 Wow, how exciting Krystie. What did you start with? How are you feeling today? Do you feel like you'd be better with more support than the Lorna Jane top gives or is it ok? Can I FR you to follow your progress? Hope you're doing well. Thanks for the reply x
June85 7 Report post Posted April 28, 2024 Hi krystie, I had surgery with dr Richardson on Wednesday . Nagor impleo 420cc hp unders. Everything went really well and although I have a lot of tightness and swelling it is better than I thought! In regards to the lorna Jane crop, I don't think I could handle wearing anything tighter or more restricting at this point with all the swelling! I will get a more supportive post op bra on Tuesday at my first post op appointment . 1 barbalicious40 reacted to this
Pepper9 1,168 Report post Posted April 28, 2024 I had surgery with Dr R on Aug last year and super happy with my results. I went through TBI so had different post op bra as they give you a compression one immediately after surgery. I definitely liked the compression, I didn't like the feeling when took it off to shower etc so don't think I would have liked just a crop but if you start with the crop then it might be different if that makes sense??? Blondiva 30 Report post Posted April 28, 2024 Thanks for your reply and opinion June85. So you are PO Day 2? How are you feeling? Doing well I hope. Thankyou so much Pepper9 I met a girl in the waiting room in his office and she said she felt like she needed more support than what the crop gave her so I'm a bit worried about that. Do either of you have before and after pics you'd be happy to share? Thanks again xx

Emi 114 Report post Posted April 29, 2024 I also saw him on Wednesday and agree that anything more than the soft crop would feel like too much! My side boobs are the sorest and feel like a compression bra would make it quite painful! In saying that, my pain had been minimal and experience has been so great so far! June85 7 Report post Posted April 29, 2024 Yeah as pepper said it might be different that I started with the crop.. I must admit I am quite swollen and sore today as the swelling is moving downwards under the incisions and wonder whether I would be feeling better with more compression. I spoke to Annika the nurse about it and she said they like to wait until the first appointment post op to fit you with a bra so it fits properly. I'm not sure if there is any other reasoning for this ? At the moment my breasts are sitting very high and under my arm pits as to be expected in the early days! Looking forward to seeing the gradual progression of them settling! 1 Emi reacted to this
mes fous 93 Report post Posted April 29, 2024 Girls that have had the surgery, just wondering, besides the post op bra, do you get any sort of care package/stuff post op? thanks!

Thanks for the reply x Of course! i was an a cup and hopefully should end up a D or DD i am feeling great! When i woke up i was in no pain jusy a tight pressure feeling. I did have an endone which mase me a little nauseous and wobbly walking to the car. Once home i felt so good. I took some panadene forte before bed i had a crap sleep as i drank so much water after the surgery and had to get up to pee alot my poor partner had to help me outta bed! Also was hard to sleep upright jusy couldnt get comfortable but not in pain. When i got up this morn i took some more panadene forte felt fine a bit achey in my back and arms i just used a wheat bag. I went for a short walk to loosen up a bit and have been icing my boobs whenever i am resting. So i still have minimal swelling and no pain just a couple bruises and an awkward pressure feeling in my chest. i dont think the lorna bra is doing much support more just a cover up i guess but i dont feel like my boobs need it at this stage there not too heavy. ive had a great experience so far but am wondering if day 3 and 4 will be a different story lol! this pic is from this morn oh the only thing that had bothered me last night was when i was peeing it didnt feel like i could empty all of my bladder so was constantly feeling like i needed to pee every 10 mins. But back to normal now. I havent pooped yet but my tummy has been makin noises all day so i recon ill be back to normal tomorow 1 barbalicious40 reacted to this

inertia 115 Report post Posted April 29, 2024 I had a lift and augmentation with 390cc hps with him in February. I definitely couldn't have worn a tighter post op bra. I liked the lorna jane one and even once I was given the Marena at 1 week post, I never wore it because it was too restrictive and hurt my incisions. Blondiva 30 Report post Posted April 30, 2024 Thanks barbalicious40, Emi, June85, Krystie, Pepper9 and inertia for all your input. Krystie, June85 and Emi how are you all feeling now? Which day/s would you say the pain was at its worst? 1 barbalicious40 reacted to this
Emi 114 Report post Posted April 30, 2024 Honestly, I've had barely any pain. The most pain I've had has been in my back from sleeping upright! I didn't even take the endone i was given, but did enjoy Valium each night to help me sleep I think on the 3rd or 4th day I had a sharp dull pain in my left side boob. But I just whacked the ice packs on and that would sort it out. Im feeling really good, but definitely still need my midday nap. My boobs have started to feel less tight and more like hard rocks, which I'm hoping is normal. Xx

June85 7 Report post Posted May 2, 2024 Hey guys, I'm coming into day 5 now and I feel great. No pain just a bit of tightness and sore pec muscles if I do too much lifting/pulling/pushing. I have two small children under 2 1/2 and my husband hurt himself on a motor bike the day befor my op so I have had to push myself a bit harder then I would have liked.. I think I had one full day where I had the luxury of lying in bed so it's been quite the effort. Each day I can see my breasts settling more and more with very minimal bruising. The swelling has moved to my amdomen but it is definitely getting better each day. My husband is very impressed how good they look after five days and how small the incisions are. They are still quite firm and high as I had no breast tissue before but I can see them gradually settling.. 2 Emi and Mummaof7 reacted to this
Blondiva 30 Report post Posted May 2, 2024 Thanks so much for the updates girls. So glad to hear all your recoveries are going so smoothly. You poor thing June85 it sounds like you have your hands very full. Hopefully hubby can start to relieve you on the lifting etc soon. Your bruising looks good, you must be so happy with it all. Have you been fitted for the fitted bra yet? Is it too tight or do you prefer it? Thanks Oksana, I have sent you a FR.

I had my first post op appointment yesterday and got fitted with a bra. 34e which is crazy considering I was aa! Obviously still swollen and sitting very high so will take time to settle once I can massage them. I find the bra quite tight and uncomfortable when worn too long but it is good when going in the car or for a walk for support. I have been going bra less at home to help them drop more and I find it more comfortable ! I just wear the lorna Jane crop at night
Rhiannon 226 Report post Posted May 8, 2024 Hey i had my surgery March 11th and had 560cc HP unders. Safe to say it was taken me until Saturday morning just gone to even like what was done. Because I was mildly tuberous, I had no lower pole. It's slowly coming but my boobs looked horrendous prior. I looked at my pre op images and I have come a long way, what I keep telling myself is because I didn't have "normal" boobs, I wouldn't get "normal" results. Ie: the fake look I wanted. But anything is better than nothing! The only thing I can fault Dr R on is his after care. He's just too busy to make you feel like he cares. One of my incisions started to open up... He had a quick glance and said "it will be fine" and left the room. With that, I was so disappointed. I have also been in contact with other girls who haven't had great after care and they're having serious wound break down issues. Hes a great surgeon and does his job well, but he just needs to slow down and remember girls are people too. Not just cash cows. Good luck with your surgery! 4 mes fous, Mummaof7, Kkk and 1 other reacted to this
