Hi all,

I was just wanting to get everyone's opinions on Dr Tavakoli for breast augmentation. Those of you who have opted to use him as your surgeon.

I've come across mixed reviews so far. Stating he's arrogant, media hungry & I've even read posts about him opting to choose bigger implant sizes without your approval during surgery.

I'm leaning towards him because of his fast recovery times, dual pocket technique and I simply like the natural look of his work compared to some.

He's very quiet about his pricing online as well so if anyone is willing to share how much theirs cost through him to give me a general idea?

There is no surgeon in the world I would trust more with my breasts than Dr Tavakoli.

I have been lucky enough to film in theatre with him for this website several times and he has an exceptional attention to detail, is extremely fussy and is an absolute perfectionist.
As for implant sizing, he will recommend a size range suitable for you during your consultation and you will have the opportunity to try on sizers in the office. You make a decision on which sizes you would like.

During surgery, he will use implant sizers to find the most suitable implant size for your frame and I have been in theatre with him before where the patient gave him a printout of her "wish boobs" which I witnessed him referring back to before deciding on the right implant.
My understanding is the implant sizers are not just to decide on the best size but also the best projection and shape for your breast footprint i.e. tall, oval, round base etc

He is not as expensive as people seem to think, last time i checked it was around $14,000.

Al though i have not been through Dr Tavakoli myself i would not hesitate to contact him for my future revision ( nothing wrong with my implants but would like to go a little bigger some day and exchange for smooth round imolants ) at the time of doing my research i would have very much liked to have Dr Tav do my BA but decided to stay local (Perth) just incase of any complications, and yes i heard he can come across as arrogant but i think thats just because he's such a perfectionist and is renowned for his impeccable work.

Who did you go through? I'm also from Perth.

I’m hoping others can chime in here too.. I just got a quote back from Dr Tav for a breast lift with fat grafting for 30k. Definitely was expecting the quote to be less than that.

Hi i went through Dr Sam Cunneen in west Perth and he was great very meticulous and knows what he's talking about , you could also look at Dr Guy Watts he's just down the road and very good also.

Hi I had my surgery with Dr Tavakoli in 2017 and I am pretty pleased with my results. If anything, he was trying to convince to go smaller than larger - I asked for 400cc and he advised he would not go any larger than 390cc. I ended up with 330cc/360cc and I am very happy with the size as I think it matches my body. My friend that came with me found him to be perhaps a little abrupt in the manner that he spoke but I found him to be very pleasant - I guess it depends on whether you naturally gravitate to certain personalities or not.

In saying this I will be upsizing at some point and changing my textured implants to smooth will likely go with dr tav again as I am comfortable with him. I have had some recurring pain in my left breast since the procedure which he thinks is due to my body not liking the different sized implants.

He is definitely a perfectionist and he veers towards a very natural result in my opinion - so If that’s the look you are going for you will be very happy with his work.

I have to agree with the comments on sizing I had a revision after breastfeeding second BA this time with a lift I begged him for the biggest implant and he kept pushing me for smaller and actually did smaller rather then larger on the surgery day. He has the personality of a plastic surgeon which is what you want.
