@Kit do you get into a July group?

Thanks and I will join!

I technically belong to a July group but never started a thread there.

I am 5 weeks post op and had 295cc Mentor Anatomical dual plane.

I love my size and shape but disappointed I ended up with a larger cleavage gap than expected. My surgeon said he tried to get as close as possible, however he was worried about over dissecting the muscle as I had virtually no tissue on my breast bone/sternum area and he said I would of had a high risk of symmastia otherwise. I will reassess around the 3month mark and perhaps look into fat grafting for this area.

When is your surgery @Nic#460cc ?

Hope your recovery is going well @margaretriver

Hi all!

@simply_me good luck! How are you feeling??

@Glissm I was sick the whole time. I hope you feel better soon. I was basically bed-ridden day 1 Po so that’s great you’re up looking in the fridge!! I think you will be fine to return to work. I go back Monday which will be 12dpo. I will have to be strategic about lifting but will be fine.

@Kit I’m sorry you’re not happy with the gap- I don’t know much about fat grafting. Will push up bras give u the look you want? Not that that helps without a bra which I totally understand. After 3 kids my look was ALL padded bras and zero shape naked. Did your PS say if they will change after the compression bra wearing period??

ive just had my compression bra fitted. Have been told to wear it for 3 months. I also found out that PS went “sub facial “ which is overs. I had called surgery 2dpo as I had calve pain and had to get a scan to rule out DVT and they told me PS went under the muscle. When I asked him today he said no...I’m happier knowing this actually as I really didn’t want to have the animation that I’ve read that can happen. But it’s another mind shift as I had told myself unders must have been better in the end to hold them up over time! Anyway it’s done now and the PS has a rep to go for best cosmetic result. I’m anxious for the swelling to go down and feel so much better in the compression bra. Hubby happy with result too. I’m feeling like it just looks like I have a really good bra on- so not obvious in clothes but very obvious without ?

going home to have first shower in over a week! ?

Just had a bath this morning which felt great! Felt weird when I took the compression bra off tho.... love the support that it’s giving.think I’ll stick to baths for now.. scared to get them wet!

in a little bit of discomfort but trying to stick to panandol and nurofen during the day... will save my endone for night time as it seemed to work well last night. Slept from 10pm til 7... so was pretty happy with that!

No nausea today which is amazing.... surprised I felt nauseas as I usually don’t!

Just need to trust the surgeons hey.... they are the experts... not everyone is the same. I sent myself crazy pre op looking at hundreds of girls with 450cc and some looked massive.... some girls with 295 looked huge..... but we are all different... I think 450 is perfect for my body size and shape... can’t wait for them to D&F! ?

theres pros and cons to overs vs unders.... same as there are pros and cons round vs anatomical... I’m sure he did what’s best for you! Rest up... hope ur feeling better soon!

@Glissmthat’s so great you’re feeling well! I was soooo ? ! My Ps says u couldn’t use neurofen which I was desp to use do these great you can as will help with pain/swelling and not make you sick or ?!

im glad you’re happy with the size! I had 345cc on one side and 390cc on other yo correct asymmetry- I always seemed to breast feed more on one dude than the other so was good that PS noticed and said he could correct it. I went with anatomicals- but first PS suggested rounds so think I could have gone with either. It’s so confusing but we have them in now and I know they look WAY better than pre-op so not going to obsess over different/perfect options... ??

enjoy your time time on the couch! ?

Yeah PS said I can start neurofen tomorrow... anaesthetist said to start it today.... going with what PS said and will start tomorrow...

may have over done it today tho.... just trying to help too much with the kids... had some endone at 2pm which worked a treat.... no nausea from it which was great.... but now in a bit of pain.... trying to hold off on the endone til bed time! Ouch!

Swelling up like crazy today.... sternum quite swollen too... I assume that’s normal!? Think if I swell anymore I’ll have to take this bra off.... getting tight around incisions!

When did your pain and tightness ease off?

Hi girls hope everyone is well, so I've just had my surgery and I'm feeling pretty good pain isn't to bad but probably cause of the meds it's uncomfortable but bearable, feeling like I got an elephant sitting on my chest lol feeling alot of pressure. Boobs are looking alot better then I expected on first day Dr Kollias is amazing. Can't wait to see results when swelling goes down and the drop and fluff takes place... Thanks to all girls on here for all the info and advice, helped make this a better experience..

Glad to hear it went well! I’m 2 dpo today and feeling much better. Pain is under control now with just Panadol and neurofen. I was in a fair bit of pain yesterday afternoon but held off on the endone until bed time.

Having shallow baths everyday... not sure I’m keen to get them all wet in the shower just yet. Think my swelling is at an all time high... sternum really swollen and a bit bruised now. Hoping that will start to ease tomorrow.

Still feeling tight and a bit of pressure.... incisions burning off and on today! Still shallow breathing and can’t laugh or yawn very well! Just a little insight into what’s in store for you seeing as I’m a couple of days ahead! Hope your recovery goes well!

@Glissm aww thanks for that glad your feeling better my pain is actually pretty good I was expecting it to be worse right side doesn't even feel like I've had surgery left side tho is quite tender not sure if it's normal for level of pain to be so different did you notice that one side was a fair bit worse then other?

That’s great that your pain is under control! My PS put local in during the op and I also had iv Fentanyl so wasn’t in much pain the day of op when I woke up....just nauseas..... it was more pain the next day. I felt they were probably as painful as each other.... now tho my left stitches are more “zingy” and itchy than the right. Both feeling pretty tight and the only pain I now feel is if I overdo it by trying to open fridge or pop my pills out....or helping too much with the kids.... . amazing how much the pecs are used in everyday things!

Haha that's awesome glad your doing well, oh i didnt even think bout pain killers they might of gave during operation lol maybe they done that to me too and just the right side benefited most lol maybe i shouldn't get to cocky about not being in much pain yet and see how I am tomorrow then.. yeah you don't realise how much you use certain parts of your body in everyday life until you can't use it any more..

@simply_me congrats on your surgery! So glad ur feeling well and happy with the outcome! Initially my whole chest just hurt but last few days my right side is def worse. I put it down to the bigger implant being on that side. PS said that there are 3 layers of stitches and it’s those that I’m feeling. Keep up with regular pain relief!

@Glissmthat’s amazing you have been up helping with kids. My PS said no housework for 2 weeks- I lasted a week before I couldn’t bear it any more! Nothing heavy and not doing any lifting (did lift s basket of wet washing tonight without thinking tho and felt no pain). It’s incredible too how PS all have different post op instructions. I could wear a crop top til I got a review/dressings removes 9dpo. No shower! Got fitted for compression bra then. I’ve noticed decrease swelling to my side boob/flank now too as a result which is a relief! I drove for first time today too and that was fine. Noticed bit of twinge in chest turning at times and getting in/out of car but otherwise all good. How long do you wear ur compression bra for??

i managed to walk on treadmill today for 30 mins that was fine too Feels good to be getting back to normal

forgot to ask PS how long I have to sleep on my back- @Kitwhat did ur PS say?

i hope you all have a great nights sleep! Keep the meds next to your bed ahead of morning boob- I am finding it tough going!! Engorgement feeling on steroids!!!!!!

( • )( •. ) !!!! ?

Haha yes it is engorgement feeling on steroids!!!!! For sure!!

how many days post op are u now? I’m Day 3 today and feeling better in the pecs today.... can do more little things like the coffee machine without pain... still can’t get the fridge open tho!

Still got that tight/pressure feeling.... wonder when that will start easing!? And wow.... the bloating!!!!!!

Helping with kids as much as I can... as in laying out their clothes so they can get dressed, or getting snacks for them.... just little things that help a bit... but making sure I don’t over do it.

Yeah it’s funny how all PS have different post op instructions. I was told 6 weeks 24/7 in compression bra.. only take it off to wash. I find it quite comfortable tho.... holds them in securely! Can’t remember about the sleeping upright.. will ask at my post op appointment, but I’m finding sleeping quite comfortable too.

i forgot to ask if I’m supposed to be doing stretching or massaging.... I’m assuming he would have told me if he wanted me to!?!? Are any of you girls? Just out of interest!

Hi @margaretriver I was told I could sleep flat in any position at 3 weeks. However I am 5 weeks post op and stil sleeping on back at an inclined angle. I think I just got used to it and wasn’t quite ready to go back to normal sleeping.

Hi @Glissm glad to hear your surgery went well. Every surgeon is different in regards to massage or not and it depends on rounds/anatomicals too. I have anatomicals which don’t usually require massage however have been told to gently massage my left side in downward movement to encourage it to drop further and match up with the right.

@Glissmsounds like you are doing so well! I was sick/bloated gross for a full week. I feel good now that I’m back on treadmill walking it off and getting some increased movement each day. First day out today and nooone noticed although I think one guy was looking at them but I could be just paranoid! Supper cold her at the moment so I have heaps of layers on!!

thanks for letting me know about your sleeping instructions @Kit- will persist on bank but longer. Read forums and lots of different advice. As I’m sub facial I wonder if I need to be more careful until scar tissue forms to hold them in....

im back to work tmw, first client cancelled so least a slower start! Hopefully I’m not too exhausted or sore by the end of the day!!!

sleep well! ?

Glad you had a good first day back @margaretriver. Those first few weeks I was tired all the time too!

I haven’t had those fluttering sensations you are talking about but did have some really intense shooting pains. Now those pains have subsided and my boobs are just sooo itchy! Not sure which is worse ?

How is everybody else feeling @Glissm @simply_me @Iza2019 @Nic#460cc ?

Hey girls hope your all well and recovering nicely..

@Kit I'm feeling good I'm now 3dpo and my right side is practically pain free but my left is still quite sore so it's holding me back alot, the mornings is worst getting up first time and getting all that pressure rushing to the chest lol.. feeling tired and find myself drifting off alot.. I've somehow managed to gain 3-4kg since my surgery which i am so furious about, hoping it's just fluid or swelling lol but doubt I'd have 4kg of it lol just wana hurry up and get back on the treadmill ?

Hi @simply_me, I too gained a few kilos immediately after the op. It went away after about a week but still annoying!

Hopefully your pains won’t take too to long to go away. I found once my boobs stopped hurting then my incisions decided to cause me grief for awhile!

My 6 weeks is up this weekend and then I am officially cleared to get back into the gym! Yay and can’t wait, though abit nervous about upper body training. I have only been allowed to do gentle stretches and street walking so far - no treadmill or bike ?

@Kit aww that's awesome.. I'm nervous to exercise to but can't wait hate the fat feeling when I'm not lol I don't do any upper body exercise but I do run on the highest incline on the treadmill and use 1kg wrist weights so guess that would be slight upper body workout lol I got my 2 week check up next Friday so I'll see what he says about when I can start even if it's just walking for a while

@Glissm oh that's heaps good glad your feeling better.. I've noticed mine getting softer already in certain parts too wasn't expecting it to happen that fast such an exciting process isn't it lol.. struggling a bit with nausea at the moment not sure if it's the painkillers but keep getting very clamy and sickly when I move around to much but having a quick nap seems to help
