  1. JD* got a reaction from I HaveBoobs in Advice on Breast Augmentstion Surgeons
    Responded to your PM
He originally recommended 350cc moderate plus for me with 430cc high profile being the next size (he did say the 430cc may be a bit too big). So I thought about the sizes for a couple months and went back to retry the sizers and decided to go with 430cc as I rather come out big than too small.
When I saw him at my 3mth post check up, he said I picked the perfect size and was really happy with the end result. I went from 10A to DD/E and to be honest, it doesn't look like I had augmentation done when I wear my pre op clothes which still fits
  2. JD* got a reaction from I HaveBoobs in Would you recommend Day Surgery or Overnight stay for a BA
I stayed in hospital overnight as it was highly recommended by my surgeon and the cost was included. So glad I stayed in hopsital overnight. Nice to have that break away from the kids too

Thank you everyone and that is very interesting to hear. I didn’t realise day surgery was so popular for augmentations. For some reason it makes me very anxious even though I have had other day surgery procedures (medical reasons) before.
I have decided that an overnight stay will be best for me and not so much pressure on my husband with the kids.
  6. JD* got a reaction from I HaveBoobs in Best Adelaide Surgeon for BA
Hi, I had my surgery in Dec last year and I highly recommend Dr Kollias. A lot of Adelaide women had him and are pleased with their results. If you have any questions, you’re welcome to message me

  8. JD* reacted to I HaveBoobs in Advice re sizing and over/under muscle
Hi I'm a PT and fitness instructor and teach a 3 Pump classes a week as well as other Les Mills programs and frestyle classes, i also run, as long as you have a good supportive sports bra you will be fine and my boobs do not get in theway at all during my training and all of my tops/dresses still fit but much better i went from a 10 A/B to a 10 E/F (depends on the style of bra to what cup size fits better). I have textured anatomicals so mine wont sag so much as they adhere to the surrounding tissue but if you go under the muscle you will have the muscles to hold the implant up plus it acts as to camouflage the edg of the implant so you dont get that bolt on look.
Yes i have anatomical dual plane placement (partial unders ) , there is a very and i mean very small risk of implant rotation but if you gave a surgeon who is experienced in placing anatomical implants then that is very unlikely that it will happen and no you do not loose any shape just look at my picture above .?

Hey, I have 3 kids and like you (and a lot of mothers out there), it has left my boobs looking deflated, saggy nipples etc. I highly recommend Dr J Kollias, as he’s a well respected surgeon and does a fantastic job.

Her surgery went very well and she’s happy with her results
  11. JD* got a reaction from MellieMoo in Breast Implants Adelaide vs Sydney 2019
Hey @MellieMoo I had mine done with Dr Kollias in December 2018 and I recently had my follow up appt and he’s very happy with the results.
I have kids so having it done here in Adelaide is convenient for me. It’s reassuring for me if I have any concerns etc, I can just see him at his office.
I went with him based on everyone’s positive experience and I don’t regret my surgery with him at all! He’s a very well respected surgeon, so I wouldn’t rule him out.
If you have any questions, you’re welcome to send me a private message. Good luck
  12. JD* got a reaction from sabP in Dr Kollias and teardrop implants
Hey I had Dr Kollias and I’m nearly 3mth post op already! I have 430cc high profile teardrop. He recommended 350cc moderate plus but I didn’t want to risk being disappointed with the size so I went the 430cc.
I have 3 kids, was a 10A and I’m now a 10DD / 10E and very happy with the size! I’ve been small chested all my life and having kids made it worse lol. Best decision I made! I highly recommend Dr Kollias 100%.
He didn’t recommend rounds because it would make my nipples face downwards due to my nipple position and if I wanted rounds, my nipples would need to be altered and I didn’t want to opt for that.
I too was concerned with rotation and bottoming out but I’ve come to accept that all breast augmentation comes with risks no matter what shape you have. I’m such a perfectionist but unfortunately you won’t have perfect breasts even with augmentation.
What was the next size implant available for your breast width? Keep in mind he is very conservative.

Haha yep! Found a Roxy (tie up neck and back) in size 12, pre op I was an 8 and padded ?

Curiosity killed the cat. Got a bra fitting today and measured 10DD. I’ll try again in a months time. ?
I did buy a couple lacy wire-free bralettes in a size 10, so hopefully they’ll still fit when my boobs drop and fluff. Should do because the lace is stretchy anyway ?

@Frankie* Haha yeah but I fit a 10 in bralette style bras / chemises. I got fitted today and measured 10DD from a 10B! ?
Just a normal top or a wirefree bra?
I was told for best results to wear the post op bra for 3mths and that’s what I’ll do. Even after that, I’ll wear it while I work for support.

@Frankie* Oh that’s good to hear! Yeah drains aren’t pleasant but it’s amazing what comes out of you though. ? I took it easy in the first week but was back to my house duties in the second week. Can’t lift anything over 5kgs for the first 6wks, so keep that in mind.
Yep I’m doing well thanks! I’m so happy I’ve done this, don’t regret it at all! ? I got a new bikini top the other day (tie up around the neck & back). Pre op I was an 8 and wore padded bikinis but now I’m a 12 without the padding! ?

Thanks ladies! Made it out of surgery yesterday at about 5.30pm. Have been dozing for about an hour at a time through the night. The pain is just like so many have described - more like tender with a bit of pressure. Just got to have a peek when the nurses came to check my nipples (possible side affect of BA and BL can be impact on nipple blood supply, necrosis etc .. but all fine here!)
Ended up going for smooth Mod Plus Profile, Mentor Rounds. 250cc R, 275cc L (bit of asymmetry before).
For now just snacking on dry crackers and relaxing in hospital, got another night in hospital then out on Xmas Day! ?? Will put photos up when able soon!

  24. JD* reacted to Stemschicky in Bra Fitting
I had a different experience with dropping and fluffing, I don’t think I reached my final size until 9-12 months post op. I bought some DD’s around 6 months Po thinking they had finished changing, but the bra’s no longer fit now, and are way too small. My boobs just kept getting bigger and bigger!
  25. JD* reacted to Mumma-K in Bra Fitting
I got a fitting at 6 weeks and spent lots of money on beautiful bras but unfortunately they didn’t fit and felt uncomfortable as I dropped and fluffed further.
I’d get a fitting at 6 weeks but maybe not buy too many bras (I know it’s very tempting!!) because that may not be your final size.
My breasts are still changing subtlety at 6 month post op!
