gsr4232 got a reaction from Sarahwantsboobies2017 in Post Surgery Bra / Compression Bra
It's really tricky hey! I've read a few conversations on here that sizing can be tough to get right especially since your boobs will change so much in the early stages. My nurse provided me with one at the first post op appointment- the brand was Design Veronique (I think that's the brand name) and it was specific for my procedure. The sizing just went by band size and I ended up with a small. In Lorna Jane bras (which some girls use post op) I haven't changed size. I'm 163cm/59kg/ BWD 11cm with 330cc implants. I wore an XS in crops before and am now a S. I don't know if that helps haha everyone will be different. I am finding post op that I can wear the same crops I had before but obviously fill them out a lot differently and they are more "compressive" lol.

gsr4232 got a reaction from Luci in Calling all Dr Richardson girls
It sounds like you are really well prepared! Having pictures is a great idea. Do you mean what to wear to the consult? I just wore tights and a loose top with a sports bra, something I could easily whip off for the examination. He just has you undress from the waist up behind a curtain and then he'll examine you and take a few quick measurements.

gsr4232 got a reaction from Luci in Calling all Dr Richardson girls
I had a consult with Dr Richardson last week and my surgery is booked for tomorrow (BL + BA). Happy to let you know how it goes. Look honestly I found him to be pretty quiet, not overly forthcoming or chatty by any means. But I know he is one of Brisbane's best regarded surgeons, has performed over 6000+ BA's and has impeccable reviews. He doesn't seem to do much hand holding. I wasn't really after that anyway, just wanted someone to get the job done with as much skill as possible.
My consult was fairly brief and he was relaxed but professional, he mainly went through all of the risks with me. He told me he prefers to 'under sell' and manage expectations if that makes sense? Like he doesn't want to promise the world and have his patients be disappointed. He gave me sizers to try with a sports bra, I had a fairly good idea of size and we were both on exactly the same page- 330cc and he said no bigger for my measurements. He was quite confident and that helped me to be confident in his decision making. He did leave time for any questions of mine but I didn't have many by the end. If I were you i would come prepared with questions, as other girls have suggested. Hope that's helpful!

gsr4232 reacted to Kaleidoscope_Eyes in My Teeth Update
Sooo... he took the temps off and tried the veneers in my mouth before cementing them. One of the second teeth was longer than the other and he said he could've corrected this in the chair but decided he'd send them back to the lab. There were a couple of other adjustments he wanted to make too and seeing as I'm here for another week, he's going to get the lab to make some changes. I was hoping to have my veneers today but I'm not complaining at all that he's being fussy and wanting to make them look good. I'd rather wait a bit longer and have them perfect. He's also using an opaque white cement underneath so the colour should come out nice and white. They've honestly been fantastic. For the price and the results they produce, I completely recommend them. If you don't want to go through cosmeditour, the clinic is called White Bite! I can't wait to have the real deal next week! I'll be sure to post photos as soon as I can.

Go the bigger size the vectra is deceiving if you love them on the scan you'll love them even more in person.
I have HP now my new ones will be XHP ?
Not really February related but today I met, felt and saw a lady who has the largest implants in Australia, 2000cc by dr Cary Kalis in Perth. They were amazing, too big for me but amazing!!

About 12.5k, which is amazing for how much I'm getting done! 20 teeth with eMax porcelain veneer and crown combo would cost 30-40k anywhere else. They are able to cut costs because they have their own lab only 10 minutes away! Also, Dr Anthony is trying to deter people from going overseas to get work done so he's teamed up with cosmeditour to make it more affordable. This is all he does, the cosmetic stuff. Crowns, veneers, implants so he's very capable. For a standard 8 veneers up top it's about 5.5k, which is what most people get. But I show 10 teeth when I smile and I wanted the bottom done too. I'm feeling better this morning. They're not achy at all. Still a little bit of tightness but nothing like yesterday. I can almost forget they're there!

gsr4232 got a reaction from LauraJane in Best Brisbane Surgeon?
@Ellabella1 I have no experience with Cosmeditour but I had a lift + augmentation with Dr Richardson and the results are excellent. Nothing but positive reviews here that I have read. if you have a significant asymmetry he will definitely work to correct that and a decent amount of girls will have different sized implants to even them out. Don't worry, he definitely knows what he's doing!

oh wow I can't wait just to go bra shopping because at the moment I do not have any bras that will even fit me because previously my only concern with bras were how much push up padding it had .. Do you still need the surgical bra at night??? I hear you with this heat, I have a lot of singlets which looks so ridiculous with the surgical bras, I have been trying to dress with bigger shirts on especially at work for a) still feel tender to touch so I don't want to put more pressure on them (which is hard, as majority of my wardrobe is body hugging shirts) and b ) I just don't have the energy to be going into details with everyone who wants to know where, when, how and who haha, I love my boobs but I just need to heal and recoup before I feel comfortable putting them on display, but I do see people who notice but are not sure weather to say anything lol. Look out everyone once they D&F
@gsr4232 that is my fear of falling on them, I keep going to grab my son when he just about falls etc. and that shot of pain goes through and sure reminds me. I'm so eager to get started with some kind of fitness even just the treadmill will do !!!!! It didn't help that I had to stop all pec work four weeks prior so then that made me even more paranoid of even using my arms!!! I had also gotten bursitis just under my knee joints so was healing from that as well so leg work was bare minimal.... Really feeling like a whale atm haha. I'm not daring to jump on the scales just yet!!!!!
Your photo's look great and you can definitely see the difference, well I guess I'm just a late bloomer haha - story of my life!!!!

gsr4232 got a reaction from Maddi101 in Wound won't close. Has anyone else had this problem? *warning yuck photo*
Hey hun, I'm no expert but I am in the medical field myself and would recommend you have that looked at by a doctor as soon as you can. Some girls have a problem called "spitting stitches", I'm not sure if that's the problem here but it does need to be monitored. Because it's open there's no barrier to infection and the breast tissue is vulnerable at the moment. Are you still on the antibiotics? Can't give any specific advice of course but definitely see someone qualified when you can to have the stitches dealt with or at least the wound covered to prevent infection occurring.
Re: the lift, I had one too so I definitely relate to the worries about re-sagging. The post op bra i was given by my nurse is by the brand "Design Veronique" (they have a website) and has adjustable velcro straps. It is very supportive and relatively comfortable. When I am active (i.e., walking for exercise etc) I wear that with a stretchy crop over the top for extra compression/support.
Hope that helps, good luck and I hope your wound issue resolves soon!
Edit to say: I didn't see the above replies when I wrote mine so I'm sorry if my advice was repetitive!

gsr4232 got a reaction from boobiesforme in Nov 2016
Totally relate to all of this! Driving has been harder than expected and involves a surprising amount of pectoral muscle use! I started driving after 1 week but only just down the road to the shops. I wouldn't have been ok to do longer drives and tbh the seatbelt is still uncomfortable and i often hold it away from my chest (which is clearly not super safe). Checking blind spots and changing gears is also tricky, but getting easier.
I was absolutely exhausted toward the day 10 post op mark. Like four hour sleeps during the day kind of tired. It helped me to take it down a notch and just let my body rest. It's putting so much energy into healing wounds/ getting rid of inflammation etc, so totally understandable you are feeling tired!
On my day 10 post op I headed out and literally tripped down the stairs ! I was absolutely horrified afterwards and caught myself with my hands outstretched so a really bad position. Luckily everything was ok but it was really scary and I was so worried I'd done damage. And yeah, like you I was/am still a bit tight and swollen but really noticed a difference once I resumed proper walking (~ 5ks) day 12 post op . That really seemed to help them to drop into position more. If you have a look at my album you can see a huge difference. Totally normal for there to be variation between individuals though, and I had a lift as well so I guess they might drop quicker?
Looking forward to seeing photos of everyones progress

gsr4232 reacted to boobiesforme in Nov 2016
Hey ladies, How is everyone's recovery going, I'm assuming everyone is off loving there new boobs and have settled back into the swing of things.
I'm 12 days post op and still really high and swollen, I haven't seen much difference since day 1 but have been told this is normal???? I'm back at work and keep knocking them with files ahhhh. I am getting a lift to work because I tried to drive on the weekend and I couldn't put the car in 5th gear with out two hands (that was scary) and putting it in reverse is hard.... So I'm going to give it a try again tomorrow because I'm going insane being at home all day.
I went to the shops over the weekend and was so tense, stressing about getting knocked that I didn't enjoy that one bit, but I really need to finish xmas shopping
Did anyone else's take a bit to move or see swelling go down somewhat in the first 2 weeks? Also I have been feeling really tired still, exhausted even just doing little things, please tell me someone else still felt like this?
I will be putting photo's up soon

Thank you so much ladies for getting back to me, think I was feeling a little overwhelmed yesterday ? @Lotus16 I have been taking photos everyday as well just so i can compare... maybe I was expecting some big noticeable change. I was thinking if they don't move soon I will have to wear a strap, but the nurse didn't seem to be worried.
@Lore2505 & @Kathy_1011 Ive never really cared for auto cars UNTIL NOW!!?I tried driving again today and still having trouble with 5th gear, I think I may need to swap cars with my mum until next week,?. @Kathy_1011 The side boob is a very strange feeling, I sometimes feel like I'm walking with big guns ??, but I know about it when I knock them.
Does anyone think there girls are going to be bigger then they expected, I've seen a few post were theirs haves d&f and are bigger then they anticipated, sure had me wondering.

gsr4232 reacted to Lotus16 in Nov 2016
I'm now 4 weeks post op and had a check up with the nurse today. I am so happy that I no longer have to wear the cupless bra and I can now start wearing sports crops or soft cup bras that are supportive! So that also means I can wear singlet tops again! In this QLD heat & humidity I was dying in t-shirts. The nurse was really happy with the progress over the last 2 weeks and I don't go back til March to see my PS.
In regards to exercise, I am now allowed to get back to cycling and swimming and walking but she said NO to running for another 4-6 weeks And no gym for another 2 weeks. I can deal with that, I'm just happy to get back to some training.
I did a measure last night and they have grown a little since I last measured about 2 weeks ago. I'm 32in band and now 38in around boob, so according to the bra size calculator I'm 10E. I am not even going to bother going to buy bra's or get sized cause I know they still have alot of changing to do. But I am so happy with how they are looking already, they can only get better!
On another note, is anyone getting lots of comments yet?? It seems I can't even put up a selfie on FB without everyone commenting on my boobs! hahahaha
Hope everyone is recovering well xx

gsr4232 got a reaction from Wandering Fairy in Calling girls with similar measurements to mine
I'm 5"4, 59kg so a bit bigger than you but same bwd (11cm) and I got 330cc round high profile under the muscle (Dr Richardson). I'm two weeks post op tomorrow. I went with the size my PS recommended (he wouldn't go larger) and they are a perfect size for me. I imagine once they have settled they will look natural enough but with the round high profile I didn't necessarily want *too* natural if that makes sense. I'm guessing my post op size will be a 10 D/DD , I started with a small 10c. Absolutely love them, wouldn't want any larger or smaller. In tops they can look quite modest or really cleavagey depending on the bra/ cut of the shirt etc. Hope that helps, feel free to message!

gsr4232 got a reaction from barbalicious40 in Best Brisbane Surgeon?
@LauraJane I had my lift and augmentation done with Dr Richardson and he has been brilliant. i am just over 1 week post op now, and am over the moon with the results so far. He and his team are incredibly professional and provide excellent care. My result is exactly what I was after- shape, size, position, everything. He will give you the look you are after, whether it's quite natural/modest or big and "out there" (within the limits of your measurements of course). I would highly recommend you consult with him! Although I am sure there are loads of excellent surgeons in Bris. Have also heard really good things about Dr Andrew Broadhurst.

@boobiesforme congrats! How do you feel being on the other side? It was the most enormous relief for me after a week of stressing and panic. Like you, I was in surgery at 2 and home by 5 ish. I have found that keeping on top of my pain relief has been crucial to stay comfortable. I am finding sleeping is really difficult, still figuring out how to get/stay comfortable and pain free. It's a hassle. How do you feel about your new assets so far?
@dream it - live it I posted a few pics in my gallery I think you should be able to view them if you'd like to! You will see that they are sitting super high and tight, to be honest I'm happy for them to stay there, hoisted up so high haha

gsr4232 got a reaction from Sonski in Botox area points for crows feet
@Sonski it kind of made my brows spring up toward the end so the overall effect was lifted. Because with me the muscle in that area usually has a downward pull, injecting it had the effect of relaxing and therefore allowing the skin to lift a little and the edge of the brow. It was great haha- I looked really refreshed. I do have very full cheeks naturally though, which aid in pushing everything up. My injector is awesome and gives really effective but subtle results- nobody noticed I looked different until I told them. Hope you love yours! I am a bit obsessed and thinking of getting some to get rid of the smile lines soon!

gsr4232 got a reaction from DrMGirl_Oct2016 in Nov 2016
@boobiesforme I'm day 5 now and starting to feel much more human. I am back to very light activities but have friends helping me with housework and any lifting. I got my bandages off today and uploaded some pictures, I think it has been a bit of a milestone for me in that respect. Today is probably the first day I've begun to feel like myself. So far my recovery has been pretty textbook with no issues, but of course everyone will have a different journey.
I would imagine administration/ office based work could be ok for you at 1 week, but honestly it depends how your recovery is going. If you don't have to lift anything over 1kg, reach, or do anything that would get your BP elevated, you might be ok to ease back in. Don't push yourself and listen to your body- it'll tell you when you're overdoing it.

gsr4232 got a reaction from Wandering Fairy in Calling all Dr Richardson girls
With the symmastia and double bubble risk, Dr R will select the implant size with the least risk of this occurring and it sounds like 330/360 is perfect. I wouldn't worry too much about the Vectra imaging, it's nice to get a guesstimate of what you'll end up with but most girls say their final result looks way different. Mine look way different from the sizers as well (obviously haha). I'm similar to you but a bit bigger, 5"4 and 59kg, size 6/8 on top previously. Had a little bit of breast tissue to begin with (around a small 10c). Breast width distance 11cm so I'm quite narrow across the top. I have some photos in my gallery , just got the tape off yesterday you're welcome to take a look- just friend request me. I'll upload more as I go along, only day 6 at the moment so they're still looking a bit strange haha but I love them. Dr R was *spot on* with the size recommendation.

gsr4232 reacted to Sonski in Botox area points for crows feet
@gsr4232 Thanks so much for the info! I like the idea of a mini brow lift- do you mean it gives your brows more of an arch? That's fantastic you had a consult in 2 weeks, I wish my injector did that ?
I haven't noticed a change in my forehead. If there has been, it's been very slight and natural lol. I'll keep you updated when I go for my top up, I'm interested to see if she injects in my eyebrow area again.
