Sheba 8
Hi everyone, in the last couple of weeks I’ve been getting a sharp and burning pain around the edges of what I think may be the implant pockets. Both breasts, in the cleavage and near the underarm. I had my implants done about 9 years ago and have had an ultrasound, but waiting for the results is stressing me out. Just wondering if anyone else has seen or experienced this? Thank you so my Dr’s office called me today to schedule a follow up regarding my results.... originally my Dr said I should be able to call for results if everything is ok. Now I’m really stressing ? Jugs 518
Pain can be associated with rupture or capsular contracture. Does the shape seem any different? Hope you get answers soon and hope it’s not bad news.
Sheba 8
Hi, so it seems that both May have ruptured but are still contained in the implant pocket. I’m now booked in for an MRI on Tuesday to confirm, as apparently ultrasounds can have a high percentage of high positives with this. I think it’s accurate though because of the pain I feel o relieved just knowing what’s going on! WantingRhino Perth WA
LaurenT 755
Sorry to hear, but great that your surgeon is getting onto it right away. MRI’s are the way to go. Keep us updated! If they are ruptured will you replace them?
Sheba 8
Yep, I’m planning to as long as there’s nothing preventing it. It’s kind of funny in a way, I actually wanted to get them replaced this year anyway! Thinking of going a bit smaller but with a higher profile. I’ll update again after I get the mri results. The next thing will be finding a surgeon to do the replacement...

Sheba 8
Dr appointment tomorrow to get the mri results! Also getting blood tests done as my psych thinks my thyroid looks different.? WantingRhino Perth WA
Sheba 8
So my mri results show no rupture. So there is no reason they can see for the pain ? Double edged sword WantingRhino Perth WA and ayesha79
Lynxuskitten 17
I had strange muscle pain in my left breast as it healed. When I mentioned to my doctor I explained it like string breaking on a guitar. It could be muscle spasms and settling- mine was sharp string breaking rippling pain and then it would stop for a day or so and again. After 7 months post op the pain left and my boobs had fluffed. Might be that
Sheba 8
I’m almost ten years post op. I haven’t had ‘settling’ pain formany years ?
pink butterfly 1,511
So could it be to do with the thyroid you mentioned?
Sheba 8
Apparently not, those tests came back normal too! WantingRhino Perth WA
Disgraceful 1
Hi Shelba, may I ask if you ever found out what your pain was from? Im about 10 months post op and all of a sudden im having achey pain in my cleavage. No idea why. I almost live in a bra all the time. Either boring beige well fitting bras or crop top type bras to sleep in. I wondered if iv squished the implants together as i sleep on my side. Or perhaps some of the new lift and separate type lace bras ive been trying these last few weeks. They have a panel against the sternum. The pain isnt very high. Msybe a 1-2 out of 10. Just achy. Anyone have any ideas? I feel silly going back to the surgeon and pay $200 if its a normal thing...

Hi, is there a reason you are wearing the separation (spacer) bra were you instructed to wear one by your surgeon, only reason I ask is you dont want to be wearing anything that is designed to shift the postition of your implants unless instructed to by your surgeon as it could cause undesirable results.
