Hey everyone,

I just booked in this week for a BA in mid December this year. This is something I have been wanting to do for 12 years since I was 13 years old, when I hit puberty and realised only one of my boobs was growing!! My left boob is a full C/ small D, while my right is only an A at best. I am so so excited and impatient to finally make this happen, looking forward to finally being able to feel feminine and wear any clothes I want instead of being self conscious and covering up all the time. Also super excited to finally be able to wear a bra that actually fits both of my boobs!!

I'm looking to get about 400cc in the right and about 180cc in the left, to bring them to be the same size with a bit of an added boost

I am just wondering if there is anyone else on this forum who has had a similar experience with using different implant sizes for asymmetry? I have searched far and wide for people in a similar position to me, would love to hear from anyone who can relate! Or any general tips leading up to surgery from anyone who went to a similar size would be much appreciated

Hello and welcome, like the other girls have said if you do a search you might be able to find some girls on here that have had asymmetrical breasts and have had a BA to fix the problem. Maybe @TheFox could suggest a topic/ search you might be interested in reading. Very excited fir you and if you have any questions just reach out to us we are all here to help. ?

Hi Tori welcome to the forum.

I hope you find this place useful.

Have you consulted with a plastic surgeon?
One of the biggests factors for you to consider is how your breasts will age - different sized implants may be a viable solution now but will they age the same way?

In some cases, a reduction/lift is performed on one side and then breast augmentation is performed either simultaneously or at a later stage.

Best of luck, you will find a list of qualified FRACS plastic and reconstructive surgeons in the directory section of this site to help you find a surgeon for your procedure.

Thanks so much for the welcome @JD*, @pink butterfly, @sabP, @I HaveBoobs looking forward to sharing my journey and learning from others! I've been doing a few experiments my PS told me to do where you measure out cc of rice into a stocking and try out how they look in a crop top to get an idea of size, nervous that I might get the balance wrong between them but I'm sure my PS will make sure I get the right cc's in each side for more symmetry on the day feel free to friend request, I put some pics in my gallery liking the 400cc on the right and about 200cc on the left best but not sure if it will stretch the right side too much and put me at risk of the muscle detaching from my sternum as my chest is quite narrow... let me know what you think

Thanks so much for the welcome and advice yes, I've seen a couple of surgeons and booked in with Dr Richardson in Brisbane. He advised me of the likelihood of needing more surgery further down the track as they will likely age differently over time. He says I definitely don't need a lift on my bigger side at this stage as it still sits quite high without any droop at all naturally, however in the future maybe in ten years after having kids I suspect there will be another big asymmetry by then and my bigger breast is likely to have dropped more than my smaller side as it has more natural breast tissue, so I fully understand and accept there will be more surgery needed at this time, possibly a lift at that stage on my larger side. I found Dr Richardson really informative especially when it comes to realistic expectations

Aah the rice sizers test , i did this also before my BA and quite liked the 400cc on myself as well but ended up with 440cc hp anatomicals , and while i wish i was Slightlybigger with a little more side boob i do love my results, but implants dont last forever so if i need an exchange in 10 yrs then I'll definitely be going bigger. Will pop on over and send you a FR as am interested in your journey and recovery process, wishing you all the luck with your next consult ?

@I HaveBoobs it seems a lot of girls on here are in the same boat wishing they went bigger! Trying to consider everything I read on here so I can make the best decision for myself. That's right a few years down the track the option is open with new possibilities I haven't spoken to my surgeon yet about whether it would be best for me to go round or anatomical, I know from his previous work he seems to have a preference for round but it all depends what is going to get me the most symmetry!

Hi Tori

I had my first BA in 2017 with a in Sydney to fix my asymmetry and I am quite happy with my results. Mine was a little different from yours, I had an accident and broke a few ribs when i was 15/16 and over the course of a few years I found the breast on that side had a slightly different projection than the other... I was not bothered by this until I started weightlifting in the gym which caused a fairly significant asymmetry. My left breast actually sat about 2cm higher than my right and was about a cup size smaller when i was at my leanest.

When I went for my consult I was told that it couldn't be 100% corrected but it could be improved, and I was happy with that. I ended up with Mentor high profile anatomical 360cc/330cc with the bigger implant also being considerably taller to accommodate for the higher breast. I still have some asymmetry but I am a lot happier with it. I will be going back for a 2nd BA (the boob greed is real) at some point in the near future and I will still likely be slightly asymmetrical. - however I'm hoping going larger might actually conceal it a little.

The biggest thing I found was that the side with the larger implant took so much longer to heal! but once it does its fantastic. This sounds strange but i find my body is aware that i have a different implant in that side... the best way to explain it is sometimes during exercise or when i'm wearing constricting clothing it doesn't feel as much like "my boob" as the other one. My surgeon just said this is a phenomenon that happens with some women when they get different sizes. In the beginning of recovery this bothered me a lot but after about a year it stopped happening so much and it feels much more like me

I think i posted a photo of my results in a thread about a year ago if you are interested in seeing how they turned out. I hope this helps to some degree, I know how nerve wracking it is to find little information online!

@kimba14 thanks so much for sharing your story with me! It is so nice to hear from someone in a similar position. That is completely hectic that you broke some ribs but glad you ended up being happy with your results!! Haha I only just joined this forum the other day and have already become very familiar with the boob greed phenomenon ? What size are you looking to change to?

Yeah I reckon I will also definitely still have a certain degree of asymmetry no matter what I do but I feel like the end result will still be 100x better than what I am currently dealing with!! I go to the gym quite a bit too, have you found that you can't work chest as much with implants? I read somewhere that someone's implants started 'bottoming out' as a result of too much isolated chest work, so I have just sort of started to accept I won't work chest anymore!

I am totally expecting to be the same too with different sized implants! The right side is gonna have something like 350-400cc while the left will have 150-200cc, so the right side is gonna feel waaaaay weirder than the left. I feel like being able to wear a bra without the right cup feeling completely empty will be worth it though

Definitely interested to see how you turned out, will try find your pics!

I'm upgrading to roughly 700-800cc hopefully

Yes the end result is always much better! I have absolutely no regrets about mine, I hope you're just as happy with yours in the end. I actually avoid chest exercises at the gym anymore I'm too frightened lol. My surgeon advised me to never do any pushups or chinups so I go one step further and try not to train any upper body exercises that might train my chest secondarily

If you can't find them just send me a message and ill see if i can find some before photos as well
