  1. I've been doing some research on rhinoplasties because I'm thinking about getting one and I found this online. If you are an expert, and you have 5 minutes, could you help me out on some doubts I have about my nose? Any comment (really, any!) or advice would be much appreciated and would help me! I've been thinking for a long time about getting a rhinoplasty... On one hand I'm not even sure I want to go through with it because given that my nose is not that bad, it's easier for it to end up looking worse than it is now. And I know it's a fairly complicated operation. I know I don't have a massive nose, and I have to say it doesn't really bother me when I'm not smiling and from the front. The first thing is that I'd like the nose to be a bit closer to my face, so some deprojection. -The fact that I have a small chin doesn't help make my nose look smaller (but I don't mind having a small chin and I do mind my nose).- A part from that I think maybe the tip needs work in two ways: make it a tiny bit smaller (you can see the roundness of it it's a bit big specially when smiling) and turn it up a little bit so it doesn't drop when I smile. I think I don't mind too much that my nostrils get big when I smile. I think you wouldn't even notice they get big if the tip didn't drop and was smaller. What I'm scared about only changing the tip and not the nostrils is that maybe the nostrils would be too visible (even when serious) a bit like a pig, or even worse, very unnatural. I have been reading about facial proportions and supposedly the nose width should be the same as the eye width. This happens when I'm serious, so making it smaller would look to artificial with a relaxed face...? I have also seen photos like this: I think the tip has been reduced but I feel the final result looks very unnatural and even scary (Michael Jackson-like) given the width of the columella(?). I'd really just like to know if there's a lot of chances of making my nose worse if I did go through with it or seems like an easy result to achieve. Thank you, Any comments would be appreciated, I hope to hear from you given this is very important to me, but I understand if I need to book a consultation. Best,
  2. Hey Everyone So i quite like the look of Dr Merten's and Dr Moradi's BA work and I would like some input/reviews and comments from anyone who knows anything about these surgeons. They have excellent reviews but I am always a little apprehensive to base my choice on online reviews. I would love to hear from anyone who's had a BA with these surgeons or who's had a consult with them. I would also love to see some photos of women who have been through these surgeons (if you're happy to of course :)) Thanks everyone!! it's so nice having input from others in similar situations
  3. Hi all, Needing some advice on the correct terms to use when referring to the problems with my first rhinoplasty. Obviously one nostril is higher than the other but needing some clarification on what others think the problem is. I was meant to be getting married this year but have postponed it due to the state of my nose. I am not currently working either because of my insecurities of my nose. I am waiting advice on what surgeon would be best to hopefully fix my nose. Any advice is muchly appreciated. I have added photos to view.
  4. I want to get my tear troughs filled and am looking for a good injector in melbourne. Being such a tricky area, need recommendations - i have seen a couple of RN's but they are affiliated to beauty salon's which doesn't give me a lot of comfort. One even advertised that her services were being 'supervised by a cosmetic surgeon'. Turned out, she was going to have a two min intiial consultation on skype. Happy to pay whatever needs to be paid to avoid a horror experience Thank you in advance!
  5. Hi ladies, this is my 1st forum, but I really wanted to hear your views on this. I am due to have a BA with Anoop Rastogi who appears to have a very good reputation from the chatter I've seen on line (and I really liked him when I met him in person) however I am getting lots of pressure from friends/family about the fact he's a cosmetic surgeon, not a plastic surgeon. So I have 2 key questions - 1) Cosmetic vs Plastic Surgeon? 2) Anoop Rastogi vs Michael Miroshnik? Thanks for sharing your views and experiences. KK
  6. Interview Call Out Has your cosmetic or aesthetic procedure not been a positive experience? I'm a producer at the ABC working for a prime time news satire program, and we'd like to interview someone who has had plastic surgery, who may have had a negative result as a consequence of a lack of cooling off period or pressured consult. Whether it's something you've backed out of, felt unprepared for, or required revisions afterwards, we'd love to chat to you with a view to interviewing you on camera. Please feel free to private message me for my details; I'm happy to chat through in more detail the segment and nature of the piece. Leisl
  7. Now I've looked into TCI a lot more I am thinking of possibly getting my BA done there instead of Thailand with Dr Piyapas. But I have no noticed all the surgeons at TCI are only cosmetic where as in Thailand they are Plastic surgeons and some reconstructive surgeons which are better and higher qualified. At the end of the day, is there much of a difference between Cosmetic or Plastic surgeons? Opinios please!
  8. Hi everyone, Does anyone know what the procedure is called to have your birthmark removed? and if anyone has had it done? I have one which I have been wanting to remove for years but I've never known where to start. help! Thanks
  9. Hi all, I am very interested in getting a laser gum lift as my teeth appear quite small because of my gum. I had a consultation yesterday with a dentist who told me all about the procedure (what's involved, how long it takes, how much it costs). However, I would like to go for a second consultation with someone else before I make a decision. Has anyone had a particularly good experience with a cosmetic dentist in Melbourne? Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. I'd also love to hear from people who have had a laser gum lift.
  10. I have recently completed a set of before and after 3D physical models for a patient to evaluate the outcome of a rhinoplasty and jaw reconstruction. These were based on a 3D scan taken of his face and modified on the computer and then created using computer aided manufacturing. the patient was also able to see the photorealistic 3D model on the computer. The patient's response was that it was invaluable to be able to touch and feel and see the outcome in 3D before committing to surgery. What are peoples thoughts about this? If you are considering facial cosmetic surgery would you value a before and after 3 dimensional model to help make your decision before committing to surgery?
